Pay per mile also penalises those who need to use their car to work/live.

I’ll only buy electric once they’ve evolved the batteries a few times and/or it becomes impossible to use petrol cars because the petrol stations no longer exist.
Pay per mile is appalling if you live in the country, Trig, as we do. Decisions aren't made with us in mind. It's not as if we have dependable public transport either.

And before anyone says we shouldn't have left London, we couldn't afford to have children and stay.
I don’t like the way the motor industry is heading with indications of moving towards pay per mile and subscription models. Like BMW’s heated seats - the car comes with the tech but you have to pay to use it. Wouldn’t have happened in my day but then it still is my day and it is happening so there you go.

I have to charge in sainsburys, not the cheapest compared to home charging. And winter with heating on is a waste of time.as is air-con in summer. And a pay per mile charge for EV users coming soon.

Lets face it, we are under dogs for the next two matches, we do better when there's a point to prove.

Edgy 1-0, then 1-0 on Sunday and retained in 2030 in Morocco, Portugal, and Spain (which is three spots unearned, should be just one)
There’s so much hype around this game, it’s almost bound to end in disappointment, but it would be absolutely incredible to make the final!! I really hope that if we lose, people aren’t too negative about it - before the tournament started, I didn’t really expect England to reach the semis, and let’s face it, Messi & co will probably be up for it. As long as it’s not a dodgy decider or a thrashing, I can be philosophical about losing, but if we win, it’ll be tempting to run around the block in my underpants!!

I’m only kidding, I can’t run any more, I’ll have to walk….
Anyone know who Jonanovic who played in the psf against Brentford is?
Possibly a trial list, but unusual to be named.

My warning signs are 1) England about to face a good side & 2) expectation levels very high especially amongst people who don't go to footy and can't think back more than two years

Horan got the other one for us.
It is probably too much to hope for, but it would be karma for us to win 1-0 with a blatant handball that even VAR misses

49 - you’re a smarter man than me, I wouldn’t have a clue how to service a car, but it’s something that doubtless saves you hundreds of pounds a year!!

I'm still a petrol head who still services my own cars. I appreciate many are not able but modern cars have built in absolesance and only dealers can service these days. Have never bought a new car so keeping mine going is still saving the planet and my pocket. Rare earth minerals are still safe.

Outlook - I hadn’t really planned to switch to an EV yet, but when a friend told me how much he was saving, I decided to go and ask some questions… Result was that I ended up taking one, and I honestly don’t regret it at all. I’ve always driven a manual car, and with recent hernia issues, I’d been mulling over the idea of going automatic, maybe to a hybrid initially - but then I thought why go hybrid when pretty much everyone will be fully electric in a few years, and the price of petrol doesn’t look too likely to drop very far any time soon…

49 - I totally agree, a proper solution needs to be found, especially for people living in blocks of apartments where there is no opportunity to charge below the building unless there are charge points in place for each flat - future buildings will have this, but retrofitting is probably impossible or massively expensive… :(

Yeah I can't charge from home so can't get an EV. Hopefully things will change as Govt are rolling out grants to County Councils to install EV charging points on streets nr homes. I applied for one but not heard back nearly nine months later

A4, millions cannot charge from home. You are lucky for others not such a good deal switching to EV.
