We only have 17 fit first team players hence having to look to the Academy. Barrow of course are restricted to 17 players (six subs) due to not running an Academy. Ed Leach as an U16 was in my opinion a dead cert for a pro contract. Last year appeared a bit mixed, he had injuries. But its the potential/future that counts and you can't expect a teenager to be on a constant upward route. And anyway the is more to any player and Hamilton, Clark and Cope will likely see some improving attributes that make him a more rounded player. He is a pacy attacking threat, but showed last year he understood defensive duties especially playing higher level Academies. I guess an attacking RWB maybe where he is considered for the first team. Similar to what we hope with Sasu at LWB. I like WB's to be more categorised as Wingers rather than Full Backs. His ideal position is on the attacking right of a 4-2-3-1, but we don't play that formation of course.
