Hi Spit, it's dead and buried mate. Zoe, the landlady, has been in hospital for 9 months having fallen down the stairs one night. It went into a slow decline and has been effectively closed for a couple of months. The keys go back to Punch Taverns tomorrow.

A rant on my part as it makes me so angry. Of course language evolves, as per your moral (😁), but I still use the rules that I was taught at school back in the days if slate and chalk.

Trigger, I have an apostrophe in my surname and get pissed off by companies that insist I can't use it. So it's all very well saying that languages evolve but why should I have to evolve into changing my family name? This is a specific instance but really winds me up, especially when the (racist) software they use insist the apostrophe should be replaced by e.g. #&×?#

In France it's Fete du Peres, suggesting the plural in which case it's Fathers' Day.

Is it not irrelevant anyway Swiggy? :) Everyone knows what people mean when they say Mother’s Day wherever they put the apostrophe or no apostrophe. Language is changing. Always has.
