Agreed Hash - Wycombe’s indifference is our gain. Who’s the best returning player (AFCW to AFCW I’m not talking your Gayles or Sullivans)? Tilley? Seddon? Kennedy?

It’s not Appiah. Not Appiah.
Bizarre that Duff doesn't think Tilley is good enough or maybe just doesn't fit in whatever random system he uses.

Tilley is Wimbledon so would be great to have him back as ours in a place where he is at home and appreciated
Did we loan any players out to a club in the EFL or did we only consider clubs in the Conference National/Conference South

Peterborough can claim safety this evening with a win or a draw at home to Mansfield. Mansfield have nothing to play for but they had nothing to play for on Saturday when they tonked Huddersfield 1-4 away, so it won’t be easy for Posh.

Stockport can guarantee themselves a playoff place with a win or draw at home to Port Vale, which you think they’d manage without too much hassle. That would leave the bottom
Same women’s team that just avoided relegation?

I think what Laurence is perceiving as some folk being eager for administration is based around the lack of confidence in 50+1 being able to fully solve our problems when it comes to finance. I know for example Stu D (hope he won’t mind me using him as an example) has stated that he’d prefer to go 100% sell right now. That doesn’t appear to be possible within our own rules and is certainly not something that the boards are going to fight for (as it effectively ends their grip on the club.) I don’t think anyone really *wants* administration as there are a lot of negative impacts that come as standard eg points deductions/loyal local suppliers not getting paid etc. But anyone who lacks belief in 50+1 being a success then under current circumstances administration is the only alternative end result.

That’s why this summer becomes arguably the most interesting transfer window in the afc era. League One looks like it’s going to be highly competitive next season and if we’re unable to compete in the transfer market then it’s going to show out on the pitch. Absolutely fascinating to see how many new players come in and of what standard they are. Been a long time since we’ve had a full on dud loanee so I’m hoping we can keep that going.
Tamworth being bought by some yank consortium I see

Totally agree with Keefy that administration (cash flow in our case) is undesirable but I do not see many routes that avoid it. %0%+1 with working capital may be one but I'm not sure there are investors who would pump in money year by year whilst being outvoted by the Trust

Not eager at all Laurence thats why we should seek a buyer while we are solvent. Also as you say it will be interesting as to who we have in the background who is willing to inveast without control.

Keefy - I was off at the Master Investor show last Saturday. Didn't hear a single person or trust mention investing in AFC Wimbledon.

would love to know who we are approaching?
Keefy: Going into administration is a formal insolvency process in the UK that is typically triggered when a company is insolvent—meaning it cannot pay its debts when they are due (cash flow insolvency) or its liabilities exceed its assets (balance sheet insolvency). Why are you and others so eager to embrace administration?

Keefy, I guess the choice is 1) small squad with (say) L1 players backed up by loanees/yoof versus 2) normal squad of L2 players with "risky" additions
28th Apr 2026 14:18:34
[86.lo.gg.ed]
not sure I would choose 2) as we were incredibly unlucky with injuries esp last few weeks
OI Obviously thats why we should look out for a buyer. The time things take to happen at Wimbledon we could well be in administration before the trust members get a vote whether we approve any 50+1 investment.

50%+1 money in itself isn't meant for the budget, 'working capital' may be, if such a beast ever actually exists. Even if negotiations move forward quickly, I'd have thought it would be close to the end of the year before there wasa vote to confirm it. Anyone thinking we will get full details of any proposed agreement should look up 'commercial confidentiality'.

so in short the 26/27 playing budget will be a paupers' one.
As we have unfortunately found out this season with a small squad nearly delvering relegation. I hope we have learnt!

Sandy, 23/24. We lost the previous week and couldn't make the playoffs. We won 5-1 at home to Walsall on the final day.

DO. If we keep squad levels the same then I can't see Sasu being on that big of a wedge to price him out of our thinking or to need to free up a wage.
