If Spurs bring back Pleat, they'll have to ensure his car drives at more than 5mph

the way the team started last night strongly suggests he can't motivatate the players or set them up
If Spurs lose on Sunday, I reckon Tudor will be sacked. His replacement? Sean Dyche? Big Sam? The most successful former Spurs manager still alive who does not currently have a better job is David Pleat. Though he is 81, his 50% win ratio at Spurs if replicated, would comfortably keep Spurs up.

They could do worse than appoint our own Mark Robinson - his average of 1.18ppg for us would, if replicated, take Spurs to 39 points which could well be enough!!
mark L-Tooting and Mitcham then several non league clubs in the Midlands according to Historical Don

I think Phil Summerill left us to join Tooting & Mitcham. Once Alan Cork arrived he barely got a look in. He was clearly passed his best when he joined us but he did have an initial impact as we were really struggling in that first league season.

There are a few clubs who it would be nice to face again in league action. Surprisingly few these days which is testament to how far we’ve come and the competitive nature of English football below the Premier League. I think I’d still like to find ourselves in the same division as Fulham at some point - as unlikely as that seems at present point - as weren’t their fans singing “we’ll never play you again” during the WFC demise?

If I’m counting right we’ve played 10 of the current 24 championship teams in league fixtures in the AFCW era already.
Trigs, that Tottingham decline is a fantastic story in our family. My brother supports them, my mum god bless her, is going on like a good 'un about the way the wombles are going now, that we'll be playing each other next season...

Now that would be quite something wouldn't it.
Can anyone remember where Phil S went after us?

Snap on Phil Summerill, I too was there for his debut - a key signing for Wimbledon.

Morning all. Message of positivity as we edge towards this evening’s game. We could, I think, go up to 11th with a win. But mainly wanted to acknowledge the effort the players have put in this season. An eye watering start to the season then a long slog of poor form before thankfully waking up before things got really bad. What is easy to take for granted is that we have no passengers in the squad. No lazy players, no one clearly out of their depth but thrown into action regardless. They all put in an absolute shift every game even if sometimes they’re not having a particularly good game.

Hopefully grab another three points tonight towards mathematical safety.
Just seen the highlights from Spurs’ champions league drubbing last night that poor goalkeeper.

Sad to hear about Phil Summerill. I too was there for his Dons debut. He felt like a really big signing from Millwall at the time.

Sad news about Phil Summerill. I remember his debut at home to, coincidentally, Northampton in September 1977 and he scored in a 2-0 win, our first as a league club and the first time I had seen WFC win (as it was my first season as a supporter at the tender age of 8).

Totts totally gifted those first three goals. First & third, by the subbed GK and second by the defender (Danso) having every chance of stopping Griezman and failing
