On This Day in 1960
Joe Wallis challenges Dulwich goalkeeper Dave Darvill for the ball as the Dons' season ends with 0-0 draw at Champion Hill. The downbeat game was quite a contrast to the match 12 months earlier when the fixture had been an Isthmian League title decider. Following the final trip of the campaign, travel secretary Cyril Harden praised the club's loyal fans. "We have a hard core of enthusiastic supporters, in the region of 100, who come sunshine, storms or fog, and can be relied on to travel to every away match."

He has just got passed the £10,000 mark but is still short of his target Running the Marathon in that hot smelly fur is going to be tougher this time around now that Haydon is that much older. He turns out to support our team every game at the Lane, now is running 26 miles for the DLAG. Would be good to boost the total if you are able [Link]

Dust your boots down, guys - this is your chance to play on the hallowed turf of Plough Lane. The WAWF Cup takes place on May 31 and we are looking for fans to line up to play along side the likes of Jon Main and Mickey Haswell (more TBC), in teams managed by Mark Robinson and Terry Brown. Full use of stadium/changing rooms etc. Hampshire referee etc. West Stand open for fans, Phoenix open for thirsty fans/players. Photos of the day and probably a few bits thrown in tbc too. And if you can't play, why not be an assistant manager or a mascot for the day... All proceeds to the playing budget, too. [Link]

Morning all. TF - got to say, as far as watching football is concerned, the playoffs are up there for pure excitement. Though you could imagine the howls of anguish if they brought them in today rather than 40 or so years ago.

They're great to cover professionally too. Unlike last games of the season...
Chelmsford have been taken over again so probably bringing in a raft of new players and Lyle Taylor presumably on decent wages but injury prone doesn’t fit the bill, will probably end up an another moneybags Essex club like Billericay

According to the OS, U18’s are home to Northampton on Saturday morning. 11am kickoff. Time to get to Plough Lane afterwards to celebrate their achievements.

I just heard Frank Lampard on Talksport praising Rudi and saying that he doesn't think we've seen the best of him yet.

And for the morning hat trick - major congrats to the U18s for the treble-completing PDL cup win last night. Growing call to have some of them on the bench for Saturday and I add my name to those wanting to see that happen.

Wonder if Coventry will keep Rudoni for their Premier League season.
LTB released by Chelmsford - wonder if he’ll carry on playing somewhere.

Absolutely Trig. Our women were down and out but achieved safety. Our youngsters have been phenomenal but watch the bigger clubs pick them off for peanuts.

When we won 2-1 at Charlton in 2016, Lookman (Atletico tonight) scored for Charlton, and our current manager Johnnie Jackson was a sub for them!!

After the Huddersfield game they're holding the end-of-season presentations up there so you /might/ have to get in the queue early to be sure.

After MoM you can stay as long as you want - the bar stays open and there's usually football or rugby on the main screen.

Trebor, the main room (the 1889 Lounge) is open for anyone to go and watch the Man Of The Match presentation. However you have to queue up, as space is limited due to licensing restrictions. I go up there after about 50% of games and have never been turned away due to the room being full.
