I admire Bert in trusting the process with the AI photos these are early days and he will learn how to prompt to get more accurate representations of the original photos. I also admire his decision to make today’s photo “Ginger hair day” as our strawberry blonde friends are often under-represented in the hairogynistic world of football. Maybe if the original photos were available alongside the completely bastardised AI versions that may help calm the waters a little?

Ask yourself this - how many redheaded Wimbledon players can you think of off the top of your probably-better-coloured head?
Iirc Erik mentioned the mediation in his book and said they had signed non disclosure agreements and that basically talks had stalled without an agreement. I suspect it has been shelved by the FA or EFL or whoever it was. But yeah would be nice if the club could just tell us that.

Why there needed to be a NDA is a diffwrent question. I mean they won't exactly have been sharing secrets about the trident nuclear missile system that we don't want Putin finding out but people can be weird sometimes and insist on weird things
Is that really Ian Cooke!? And why have both he and an oppo player got mismatched socks? You may as well have got a kid to colour in the original photo and redraw the faces and haircuts. I vote to totally drop the AI "enhanced" photos.

Apparently early CGI animation had problems with hair which is why many characters wore hats.
“ MK Dons were not scheduled to travel to AFC Wimbledon in League competition until April 2020 which would have given an appropriate and realistic timeframe to complete the mediation process” - mediation was supposed to have been completed 6!. Years ago?!?

I’m drafting an email to the efl regarding this, will post anything I get in reply on here
Why aren’t the DTB allowed to update us on the mediation with MK? I don’t get it. Have they ever told us why they can’t provide one. Surely regular, transparent updates would help with mediation

Morning all. On the train to Rotherham I’m sure I’ve been there before but must have been a while back. JJ will be aching for a win or a move. Lose today and the mood just gets darker. Wonder if the two loanees go straight into the starting XI. Both lack game time but might be enough to change things up a bit in terms of our lacklustre performances.

Hash - they think that people will forget about these things and that’s easier for them than dealing with stuff properly and that’s why stuff keeps going wrong.
Laurence, sadly that non-disclosure has gone on for far to long. As mentioned by Changing Man, the Franchise thing has for far too long gone on without resolution, without any input to being resolved: Why not a working group to deal with that? That is the tip of a very big ice-berg, the sort where as a child you'd see adults discussing things in what appeared to be code, only to find out that major crap is going down and the child (members) is both the last to know and that things are further along the path of shit storms than the adults (boards) have let on.

A problem shared is one of our doing, bollox to sharing that with you...
the continual non-disclosure of information negates any trust supporters/members have in the various boards. There is a very simple solution: stop hiding behind words, and offer proper transparency.

Yes dugout. Can’t really ask for more money from the owners when they refuse to provide any info on the -£400k.

If there’s a legal case ongoing then give us an update and some information that makes that rumour credible. So far there’s nothing to suggest that situation is ever going to be resolved or any accountability delivered. Nearly half a million pounds we need answers.
I really don't care what they are called but 'plc board' presumably has a legal and regulatory meaning, i.e. the list of directors registered at Company House, whereas 'club board' is more a descriptive term. But really only as important as the DTB or DTb issue

Perhaps another agenda item; someone’s found 400 grand down the back of sofa in the 1889 lounge - or they’re actually going to tell us what happened to it….

The change from PLC board to club board was made about a year ago I think when I joined the Trust board. We were told more than once to refer to it by its new name. Not sure why the change was made tbh.

TS - decisions such as whether more shares should be sold?

I agree that individual DT members are not owners in a meaningful sense, just as I'm not an owner of GSK because I have a few shares
We're obviously too thick to grasp the concept of a plc board.

No messages were edited or censored this week as far as I know (certainly not by me). So in the unlikely event anyone was interested they could go back and read them all. It is generally good not to post political or other stuff that might be considered trolling, i.e. aiming to get an argumentative reply.

We are not owners as you cannot have 5000 (?) owners make decisions.

Good use of time while the money evaporates away with no explanation provided. Hopefully we’ll get to see some detailed finance information on the 3rd - like what have we spent all the money on to make such a loss when we have a new mostly full stadium?
Mine were war related the other day,but classed as political. But surely by now no one takes what trumpy say as true..

Next you will be saying you believe the dons trust:-)
We are pleased to announce that we are holding a ‘Meet the Club board’ event on Tuesday, 3rd February, from 7pm, in the 1889 Lounge at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
Everyone across the Club, whether you’re a member, supporter, volunteer, staff member, player, commercial partner - we all want the same thing: success for AFC Wimbledon.
We encourage everyone associated with the club to hear an update from board members and senior management on key issues, as well as discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the club, giving you the chance to share your ideas, concerns or queries.
We hope to cover a range of topics on the night, including:
An update on the football department and Academy from Director of Football Craig Cope, which will open the event at 7pm
The Club’s finances
Minority investment progress
Upcoming member votes
Our Women's team
Season Ticket plans ahead of the 2026/27 campaign
Answering your questions, and contributing to the discussion, will be members of the ‘The Club board’ (previously known as the PLC board).
The Club board is the Club’s day-to-day operational board. They oversee all club operations.
The Dons Trust board is elected by the members of the Dons Trust, and, as the majority owner, oversees the Club board with three DT board members representing the DT on the Club board. Members of the Dons Trust board will also be in attendance on the night.
As during the last 23 years, there will be key decisions to be made in the coming months, we urge as many members and fans as possible to attend.
The lounge will be open from 5:30pm for those who wish to arrive early. The bar will be open, and a range of hot and cold snacks available to purchase. The event will start promptly at 7pm.
