Regards the Beasant / Law statue, maybe it should be given a clean up and brought inside the ground out of the weather.

Sorry, OI, but if they were going to allow you an extra inch, they would have specified a foolscap bag, not an A4 bag.

The bag I have been using since the sixties just takes a box of A4 paper with about an inch to spare lengthwise. Will it get me banned?

I give my outside woodcarvings and furniture a coat or two of beeswax every year. Let it soak in, that's the secret. Also, wood has a right and wrong way up when left outside. Top down is correct, provided you can tell. Too long winded as to why. All wood will eventually rot. All you can do is try to slow the process down. But if that statue at the club has been just left then the rot has probably already set in. This hot weather will have dried it out. It'll start cracking next, allowing rain and insects inside. Only takes a few woodlice to cause major damage. Personally, I offered to make a collection for a Roy Law brass plaque some years ago, which was turned down. It would've weathered a darn site better than the woodcarving, that's for sure.

Is the Womble seat even on our land? Statues at football grounds rarely work out well in the long run (yes I know there are exceptions). Do we have a duty to keep Roy and Dave forever?

Blooming eck CW the photo of and comments about the Beasant statue arenât good. Shirley when you make a statue out of wood you have some sort of maintenance plan.

Wonder if DTb were consulted on decision
Just had a look at other London clubs websites. All the big clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and Palace have the same A4 bag rules. Even Spurs have have this rule.

From the Chelsea website: "If you are travelling directly from work or another commitment and cannot avoid bringing a larger bag, you will need to make alternative arrangements before arriving at the stadium."
Hope this kid from Chelsea does not turn out like last season's loan.
