 Lewis is leaving so keep Bauer as a squad player, need to get a new centre back, my suggestion would be Deon Woodman of Wealdstone

 Haydon now 22 miles, and at 94% of his fundraising target - needs to finish in under 8 hours or it doesn’t count apparently… not sure if that applies to those in massive Womble outfits…

 (Wednesday fan says -15 point deduction to kick the season off and a transfer embargo til Jan 2027 though they don’t know whether that means they can join in the January transfer window or if the embargo ends at the end of January.

 (That said I am hearing that Sheffield Wednesday have a transfer embargo and will have points deducted at the start of the season - so no idea whether their beleaguered squad is capable of performing in League One as it is.

 As much as I enjoyed yesterday’s positive drama and with the hindsight of knowing we are safe would prefer that to midtable obscurity, I do feel for JJ that he wasn’t able to show how high he could have had this squad finish in the table. Given how cruel it was to not get a point up at champions Lincoln, if we could have played those injury-ravaged matches with a proper squad to pick from I wonder how many additional points we might have got? Because whilst we conceded a fair few goals and obviously struggled to score our own, none of our oppo in those games looked particularly impressive themselves.

 In the 12 games where Bauer, Johnson and Ogs have been the centre backs we have won seven of those games, keeping five clean sheets.

 Bauer may not be as pricey as you'd think given that he was picked up from PFA release 'squad'

 Haydon on 20 miles now - incredible effort if he’s kept the suit on the whole time - he’s expected to finish around 7.15pm!! Perhaps the club could honour him at next Saturday's game and generate some late sponsorship for DLAG, surely that could happen please…? OI, marathons can be dangerous for spectators as well as runners - both my son and daughter saw Haydon in Maze Hill just before Greenwich… 👍
