This is not a political post ...
That would be believable if it wasn't Piers Morgan, the man with the most punchable face in the universe

RK - Nottinghamshire were confident that companies and individuals would sponsor the flags so they would not cost council taxpayers anything.

Looks quite damning, Pete. But as you say, could be a load of bollocks. That said, I dont recall any dodgy VAR stuff from our match against them.

Depends what the cost is (in both cases). If they hires contractors, then yes that is a cost the taxpayers have to eat. If they used their own staff resource, than it's not a real cost, but it would stop the Councils undertaking some other work, or delaying it

I’d argue that all we had to do against Argentina would have been to leave someone quick on the halfway line. An outlet from the pressure, and would take either 1 or 2 Argies out of the penalty area.

That a dwarf scored with a free header against 6 defenders says a lot (ignoring both the foul on Spence and the offside when the ball was crossed). Definitely supporting Spain, and hopefully a card-happy, un-blinkered/bribed referee.
