I don’t think it’s over inflated opinion. I think most realise we are poor relative to our division. However, we tie one hand behind our back and don’t give ourselves a fighting chance. That’s my frustration

The problem is we have an over-inflated opinion of our side. We are a L2 side having a season in L1. We just believe we are different from the Port Vales, Gillinghams and Crawleys who will spend a short time in L1 then regress to their mean.

I make it 9 players out of our 30 player squad who have not made an EFL appearance, let's call it 1/3. For most to make an impact as a starter or cover position in L1 they would most likely require experience with us in L2. However, as this has not been the case since Robbo left us as manager, we are left without succession planning from first team squad to actual first team league appearances. If we had remained in L2 for this season and next season, managing a reduced budget, getting the 50+1 vote through and giving young players L2 experience then a promotion push from L2 to L1 with a smaller player budget would reduce the RISK impact of L1 player costs. Back in season 1982-83 and 1983-84 we had players at age 20 or under playing regular first team league football for Wimbledon.

There’s nothing quite like a good old relegation dogfight though is there, every game is on a nail biting knife edge, every goal celebrated as though we’d won the World Cup, and every point coveted like your first born child…. What’s not to like about that….? 🤪🤷🏻‍♂️😂👏

Actually all the 7 January games are winnable, if we don't get many points we are down.

Jackson has the season as won promotion and we had a good start to the season,but we scraped play off place at 3rd attempt,the defence saw us through the playoffs,. But 4th season totally bored of his style of football and if we don't stay up ,needs to go at the end of the season (or before if we don't win any of the next 8 games.

Maybe we could do what Ken Bates did with Chelsea - sell the club for a quid, and then go on to win multiple League titles, Champions League trophies, and FA Cups…. 🤪👏

Worse than relegation form we are rock bottom form. We are responsible for 23% of Exeter's points total and they are an absolutely terrible team.

We as a club, and I include the DT appear to be treading water (no pun intended), since the DT have managed to stick with comfort, when we probably need people with ambition and aspiration.
