Given that team, I think I'll watch Bayern v Real I'm afraid.

Spotted it a mile off Secret Agent - and pulled out of the process accordingly. All comms will be published in time I’m just
waiting on someone truly independent to investigate. MBEs given out like Paddington Bear toys it seems.

Mav - that was so obvious it really shouldn't even need saying. They are self-appointed volunteers and even if none of them have a bias against an individual, they are not the people to make a judgement on past behaviour.

Team looks worse than on Saturday. An attacking force of Sasu and Hackford is worrying. Gonna be a long evening.

Disappointed also to see Reeves start and no Nelson.
"We are also grateful to all members, candidates, volunteers, and other stakeholders who took the time to engage openly and honestly with the review process, whether through written submissions or interviews. This input was invaluable in ensuring the review properly reflected the breadth of views and experiences across the Trust" Angus Fox on the DT Website. A man who I think I'm right in saying has managed to be elected as Chair without ever having been elected to the DTB?

Twenty three people were involved. Two who have nothing to do with the club and Doobs as Hustings organiser. The others all either DTB members in the main or ESG or Secretariat. Just a handful of those who stood and were elected or chose not to take their place. Hardly representative of the thousands of members IMO.
No Lewis no Johnson no Browne no Omar no chance

Hackford up front and we will probably hit long balls to him..
He also says that disqualifying candidates under Rule 10 should not have been a matter for the ESG, which I said all along.

Bad things by the board = regrettable. Unsubstantiated allegations of bad things by members = punishable without appeal and ratified by “independent scrutineers” who are subsequently congratulated by “independent MBEs”

“The Dons Trust has been well served by the current scrutineer, including in 2025, and members owe him considerable thanks.“

Perhaps Ed Mayo MBE could expand on what the independent scrutineer did in 2025 for which we how them considerable thanks.
OI he concludes that Rule 10 was NOT formally voted on and approved by the board, which he says was regrettable. But he says (and I told him this was not the case) that the principle of it had been informally nodded through in March and therefore he thinks everyone was entitled to behave during the election as if it had been formally approved. Not a view I agree with. He glosses over the fact that the board’s statement at the time said (untruthfully) that it had been voted on at the August board meeting and the board have never corrected the record.

I've got a feeling in my water than the game will be mind-numbing boring but we will get an undeserved 1-0 win.

The independent scrutineer in that context must be truly independent. They had the opportunity to correct the 2024 elections and avoid controversy. They failed. They were contacted during the 2026 election controversy. They never responded and an AFCW PLC Board member put out a statement saying erroneously that the candidate had “skipped a part of the process”.

What we have right now is dangerously bad. Money is seeping away in the meantime.
Just started browsing Doobs and this ties in with what a lot of us said: 'a cleaner, more robust election appeals process, with the final decision resting with
the Independent Scrutineer rather than the Board.' Simply put the Board cannot be Judge and Jury.

(Last time I posted what James Ledward had tweeted, Wup shut down and we all had to go over to the place that the other guy set up instead. This is why the club and trust cannot self regulate. Too many people pretend to be willing to change things but actually they want the opposite of that.

A lot of that makes sense apart from siding with the idea that rule 10 was officially approved which it very clearly wasn't. I'd go along with most of the recommendations but will also pursue the idea that members should approve the rules as well as approving the ESG chair. I guess now I can start badgering James Ledward again :)

I agree Rob re form but the players we have to put out on the pitch are an issue - and this is my point… it’s not cos they’re rubbish or lazy or disinterested- they’re just not first choice in too many positions (or second or third when it comes to centre backs.)
