Spit, I just had a ten day break in Cornwall-Devon pre heatwave. It was cold (about 14c) windy & a bit wet plus you took an eternity to find a car park space (and pay for it ..) anywhere

Avoid Columbus travel insurance
Morning all. A lot of travel insurance generally is consolidating, it seems, but as long as they're underwritten by somebody like AXA they're greatly fine. Not sure about those with pre existing conditions though

RK, I'm frequently being seen in various clinics, plus the osteomyelitis issue that's the real big pain in the butt, bane of my life has rendered overseas travel unaffordable anyway (since I'm unemployed too) but prices before my bone issues were made then. 2022 we were looking at a 10 day cruise around the Canaries, the cost of insurance was more than paying for a third person. I dread to think of the charges now.

A nurse who my wife works with didn't pay insurance on a skiing holiday in Bulgaria, obviously poked the accidents gods and was hospitalised for 18 days and cost her £45k for a cesspit of a health care facility, and ended up having to get an air ambulance back home. She had to sell her home to fund it. Ouch!

Sandy, Staysure & Just Travel are good options for those of us with "pre-existing medical conditions" What I've found is that if you've been a hospital in-patients in the previous 12 months, premiums will be higher so have to decide whether to go for it or wait, based on your financial circumstanes
