Hull were promoted to the PL in 2016 and relegated after 1 season - probably will happen again šŸ˜‚

I think Franchise were pushing for a fine and/or points deduction. Mediation was an attempt by the EFL or FA to avoid that. However annoying, it probably did us a favour. Would the majority of fans now want to risk punishment over being unpleasant to Franchise?

I hope someone scores before full time, otherwise they should just go straight to penalties… 🄱

Just going back to the mediation thing, I was wondering if anyone has checked the "other side" - either their OS or chat site - to see what their take is. I've had a quick look but can't see any mention.

Bit odd, as I thought it was them that instigated it?
I’m doing the full 90 on my cross-trainer - did most of the first half with my eyes closed

Sounds like sour grapes complaining after the event, more reason to want Boro to win now, plus the possible moolah from Leo making an appearance in the PL?

Agreed OI he’s probably looking for a sweetener to go away. I hope the EFL don’t oblige and you’re right keep your mouth shut until after the game*

*unless their layers have told them they had to make a statement beforehand though that seems doubtful.
I actually hate watching football in the heat, no fun sweating like a bastard while the action is slow, slow, boring on the pitch, football is made for winter IMO

The purpose of legal action wouldn't be to replace Middlesbrough but to get a few million in compensation. The EFL would almost certainly settle rather than go to court, giving Hull a transfer fund. If I were them I'd have waited till after the game to talk about it though.

West Ham v Sheffield United anyone?
Sorry for the hat trick but just watching the build up to the final wouldn’t you love to be at Wembley today? Gorgeous sunny day all those prematch nerves and some cracking beer and food options in the surround area.

Middlesbrough are the only club that Pep Guardiola failed to beat in a Premier League fixture.

There’s probably a better grammatical way of saying that but don’t be cute and say ā€œhe never beat Wimbledon/Curzon Ashton/etc in a Premier League fixture eitherā€
I don’t like Hull’s stance on that. I can understand with the financial reward within touching distance that it must be very tempting to have a legal attempt but I don’t think they’ll ever succeed with it and for me it sends the wrong message to their players.

Hull haven’t been cheated. They should be preparing for the game not play acting the victim.
1992. They only had ten days notice so probably had to retrieve some of the squad from holidays

Probably worse for Boro but maybe they're on a high after their semi. Do people remember when Yugoslavia were kicked out of the Euros and their replacement, Denmark, won?

Hull have had to prepare not knowing who they would face, that seems a much more serious issue than an intern spying on you for a team that were actually better than you anyway.

The only team in the playoffs that didn't lose or cheat should be promoted but it was never going to happen
Hull have said they will take legal action if they lose the play-off final. What is their problem? Hull have said "Here, all we want is justice. If justice is broken, nobody will enjoy football." Justice is when rules are followed, which is what the EFL have done.

I want Hull, Stockport and Notts County but I fear Trigger may be right. Both Salford and Notts County have money so will not be battling with us to avoid 24th place next season.
