Proper farmhouse scrumpy washing down a homemade* pickled egg in the balmy Cotswold sunshine yesterday after the duck race. Imagine my disappointment when I first moved out west and saw them advertising a duck race and it turns out to be plastic ducks dropped in a stream. Gutted.

To answer my own question from yesterday... Steve Evans and Karl Robinson have faced each other as opposing managers. Their most notable encounters came during the 2020-21 League One season when Evans was managing Gillingham and Robinson was in charge of Oxford United. They famously clashed on the touchline during a match in October 2020.

Actually, in Evans defence, we listened to his commentary on our play-off final after the event and it was very balanced, despite the journalist with him trying to get him to slag us off, which he didn't.
