I heard today that since Chelsea’s new owners took over they’ve paid Brighton a quarter of a billion pounds in transfer fees and now tonight Brighton are going above them in the table.

Haven’t checked but they’re saying that if Leicester don’t win tonight they’re confirmed relegated.

Watching Leicester v Hull. Hull just when 0-1 up. Many Leicester fans have stayed away apparently. More boos than cheers when the goal went in - was a suicidal possession-lead give away goal.

Said that right at the start Nick W we should have someone with strong and credible experience in these matters working on behalf of members.

But, again, we know that’s not how this group of people work. I did notice in the rather A Level class word art that was used on the front page of the “democratic renewal” report there was “voluntary but not amateur” and that was my first clue that the report was going to be a total shambles. Mates and favours that’s the Dons Trust in the modern era.
Airsy, the Asian Fed will certainly try to impose that.

I imagine they will either pull out at the last minute or turn up (and demand the FIFA Peace Prize).

Just doing some research on Iran and their participation in WC26. Officially they are still in but have requested that their games are played in Mexico which FIFA have rejected. Article 6 of WC regulations say that "if a team withdraws, FIFA can call up any nation it chooses"

A4e, thanks for clarifying- I wasn’t sure if I had missed something. I would be very surprised if there aren’t people in our fanbase way more qualified than those on the DTB to navigate this process (note, I am not blaming the DTB here, there is no reason why someone in place because they were elected on a “popularity contest” would have the expertise to deal with this sort of corporate transaction) and we should ideally either be calling on their expertise or, if necessary, paying for advice.
