The DTB have shown to be as financially prudent as Rachel from Accounts.

And we can all see what is happening the UK Economy despite the new Chancellor saying we are turning a corner. You can’t tax your way to growth as has been proven time and time again. The DTB has drained the goodwill bucket dry. Time to put up of STFU
I'm sure with hindsight they won't trust member surveys moving forwards

It clearly wasn’t cautious because the reality is we’re at less than 50% of that.

In fact it was reckless.
OI. Members said they would invest £3 million in a bond issuance. The £1.7 million was cautious budget against the £3 million

Clearly this statement is totally wrong : "the Club budgeted cautiously for £1.7 million in bond sales". No you didn't budget cautiously, you made a wild guess.

I also think it now misleading not to include the information that the money would not be returned if we went into administration.
[Link] The tone of this is just classic for the state out of leadership at the moment. “We’re doing a great job and the problem here is everything else other than us, including you. You said you’d raise £3m so we budgeted cautiously for £1.7m and now we’re in trouble because of you.”

Not cautiously enough, quite obviously. They budgeted based on the result of a survey monkey which effectively allowed people to say they were fan ownership supporters without having to prove it at the time of responding. Amateur financial planning. Bad decisions trying to repair the damage from previous bad decisions. Not a word on investor progress or options or even existence.
Didn't MK win L2? Oh see what ypu mean!

Trig/CW - that is how Woodman won L2 last season (something we've not done since 1983) playing long passes (rather than long balls) and it worked really well. Sadly this season he does not have the squad that can do this at the higher L1 level. We could do so if we add a Stockley#2 to the squad - rest of the squad could hack it, I'm sure.

The risk attached with the new bonds is much much higher than the halycon days for fan-owned clubs of five+ years ago.

2027 was always going to be a huge test as to whether this mode of funding is sustainable
Airsy, think that's all part of a grand plan to "gentrify" football" since the hooligan days of the 1970s.

Also, all seater stadiums now so comparing with fifty years ago is a bit apples & pears
Rather a desperate-sounding update on the PLB- it’s clear that the amount raised is stuck at less than £0.7m, which is a more than £1m shortfall compared with an always-unrealistic budgeted amount of £1.7m. Sadly, I don’t think that email appeals are going to make much difference, as the rate on offer is no longer attractive as a rational investment, given the heightened risk of default and administration, and the recent events around DT elections means that the whole “ we own our club” idealism has largely died.

I get where you’re coming from DO I’d like nothing more than to play two big brutes up front and knock the ball into them relentlessly with smaller, nippier midfielders there to pick up the spoils - especially in L1 & L2 where defenders rarely get clean contact on crosses and high balls. Sadly CW is right and the game has pretty much ruled out that style of play with the terminally dull possession obsession. Plus the PGMOL would have a field day with us for playing football as if it were a contact sport.

OTD shows how mad football is nowadays - 30p is the equivalent of £4.71 today

I would have Woodman as AFCW manager at the drop of a hat if he was available when JJ leaves. Plays long passes, POMO, HAFSOG - everything Bassett stood for with us - and that went okay!

Unless there are problems off pitch at Bromley I wouldn’t expect them to sack Woodman this season. They must know that they’ve broken through their glass ceiling and survival in L1 is unlikely.

A4E - we've seen it with AFCW - when you go behind, you don't believe that you can get back into it. Our second goal yesterday must have absolutely mentally killed them
