Hopefully the 4-6months when the money would run out and debts spiral will persuade the doubters to vote yes. I'm sure most thought we would be lucky to get a10 million investor. Short term this secures the club and Hopefully progresses to the best league in the championship with a higher capacity.

From what I understood this probably will not change anythib this season. The EFL and FRC have to carry out thier due diligence checks and that’s all in thier own time iirc. The hope is to be able to submit a decent budget in April for next season.

It’s basically making us the same as everyone else Aideen - if owners want to sell up then we find new owners. They’ll want their ROI so unless they’ve extracted that during the five years then they’ll only sell if there’s a willing buyer.

But I’m shit scared about what happens after 5 years. If we are then championship or higher then investors are bound to sell while stock is high and then we are left with nothing (and players/staff on contracts we can’t afford) . Or they pull out and then we are up shit creek and are ripe for admin or worse. Someone reassure me please, with facts, not with “that won’t happen” .. cos we’ve heard that before.

It did sound like the approval process could take ages (think they mentioned 3 months at a minimum) so unlikely to complete much before end of season. However, thats not to say we couldn’t use money before completion to shore up squad ? There was mention of a £2.million that we could have used this season I think

Once we sign AAH and Forss in the window we will have plenty of goals the 2nd half of the season.

If the vote is yes and by mid November hopefully a bit of money can go to improving the squad in the winter transfer window.

Bertrand is ultimately a footballer, sure he'll have business leaning too, but it would be odd (IMHO) that a consortium would piece together an offer without someone who isn't in that sphere. Of course they could employ a consultant, Bertrand himself maybe, but having a partner to the consortium suggest that they are more invested and keeping the money within their offer. One needs to look at the football offer to see that football for females, a men's B side, the European connections and the implied partnerships spoken of, not to be a feeder club, but to tap into Europe for players with potential which will be hopefully more value for money/their loan than the current players in the English game. They need people that have that reach, a former international player and one who has involvement at the highest level in the game will be listened to, regardless of "how they come across" e.g. Beckham often cited as thick as a brick, but he has reach nonetheless,
