TS - Two different things in this context. 50% of all members must vote (abstentions direct or indirect don't count). 75% of those voting must vote Yes. And finally 40% of ALL members must vote Yes.

Sorry to repeat myself and ask this again but what is the voting
criteria for these two rounds of voting? I see for the first round it is
50% of the members have to vote and 75% to be in favour,
equating to no lower than 40% of total members but what is the
second round? You would think this would be clearly stated and
accessible somewhere buy I've looked and it isn't.

How has the DTB been allowed to come to this? I let my
membership of the DT lapse years ago until I defaulted back in
this year because I didn't see the point as I had no real say or
influence. If the current shenanigans don't prove that then nothing
will. No money and no control. Fans club? Nowhere near.
WJ - it's been confirmed they're now well over. Would need to subtract abstentions from that, but most people who are against (for whatever reason) are now voting no from what I've seen.

Sorry for banging on about the 50%+01 vote, but I believe the 2 issues on one paper was set out to confuse people. Think about it, you'd not need an abstain choice if the answers were binary. Abstaining would be automatic, it would also remove the voting penalty of 50% needed. The second vote should have been done the same way, on the same day. These nuances matter, if you want a truly transparent ballot.

3.5k responding is good news for the DT whatever happens. My experience with these votes is that the online noise makes it feel a lot closer than the end results. I'm expecting 50.01 to sail through at this point.
We used to run all meetings as 'open to all', but only members could vote. That is not really advertised any more.

I wouldn’t want it to become a slagging match with the PLC, but they need to become aware of the disconnect between the fans and any operating or oversight board. We are trusting these people to spend out money wisely and they need to be accountable and explain their reasoning and strategy.

IMO it would need to be a in-person meeting only so it can’t be distributed to non-members etc and we might get some honest answers if it stays in the room.
Stuart: The answer, I think, is yes. DT members could bring a members' resolution calling for the DTB either to (i) request the PLC directors to attend an SGM of the DT or (ii) (probably a sledgehammer to crack a nut) demand an EGM of the PLC (albeit only PLC shareholders would be entitled to attend that).

I hope anyone standing for DTB is aware of the feeling of the members. There are a few that are regulars at meetings over the years and if they get elected, I expect them to look to improve the relationship between DTB and its members. It’s very worrying when we have people who I know well and trust say they don’t trust what is coming out of the DTB and they are being lied to.

The SGM meeting when 7 or so member resolutions what the tipping point it seems and the DTB didn’t seem to understand the message they were sending to everyone.
Padd - I think if this passes, they will see us even more as an annoyance and hoop to jump through. Governance and behaviour will deteriorate further.

It's a shame in a general sort of way if they have calculated correctly that it is easier to get their way garnering the votes of those they have gifted membership than by presenting facts and arguing their case to us lot (who are largely receptive but just don't like having the piss taken out of us).
