I agree with NickD's maths. Today is the 19th competitive game of not conceding a first half goal. I mentioned this to the person on my right that I sit next to today during the first half today and literally 30 seconds later McGoldrick missed that open goal (so I was tempting fate).

So good to have this place back - even though I tend to lurk more than anything else - I'd missed checking it. Went to Cardiff and despite clinging on for dear life for the first 60 minutes, you can see we're not actually too bad at this level. We beat teams having an off-day, or teams who simply don't adapt to our way of playing football. Suspect we'll get to late September and start to struggle as teams work out how to really shut us down, but gonna enjoy this part of the ride while it lasts!

I could see an underperforming “too big for league one” club looking to get Jackson this season.

Jackson is out of contract at the end of this season. If he gets us a better than expected finish in the league or its looking like he will then we might not be able to afford him for a renewal and / or he could even get poached by someone.
