The statement about members donating £1m appears to have vapourised - if that is the strategy, there needs to be a way of facilitating this

RK - Yes, as I said, we might not like it but that seems to be the extent of the plan as it's currently presented to the Dons Trust members. I am not for a minute suggesting that I think it's a good enough plan. To be fair, they do also seem to be doing things to increase revenue per head on match days (ticket prices up, reduced discounts). So there are at least two elements to the plan.

The sad thing yesterday was individually everyone was poor. Over hit crosses, passes straight to the opposition, long balls into the goalkeepers hands, two decent headers not on target. We looked really low on confidence against a team that was hard to break down.

Biggles, our debt will rise because we make a loss each season unless we can sell players each year. Yes selling equity is a way and could be a solution, but we have to accept we make a loss each year before player sales which are not guaranteed.

We are the owners and whereas other clubs have millionaires who can subsidise L2 football, with us we have to dig deep into our pockets and thats ok when we are playing ok and winning, but the moment that changes we will see reactions from us fans when we were being relegated from L1.

We can all celebrate our achievements as a fan-owned club, but we have hit our ceiling I feel and next season we are likely to be the most expensive L2 club to watch, especially on matchdays when it will be £34 to be behind the goal.

Our debts are falling, not rising. Selling a big chunk of "equity" if we can will go a long way to paying off most of our remaining debt and cutting the burden of interest payments.

Martin - because if you guys (club board, DTB and senior club employees) don't come up with a strategy to eliminate or radically reduce losses, our playing budgets will fall and we will get worse players and be in danger of heading to non-league. I hope you are suitably prepared for the challenge.

The 'masterplan' is Round 2 at the 50%+1 vote. We know that. We might not agree with it, but it's certainly the only big plan that has been communicated recently.

The only one to stay will be Jackson continuing to play safety first boring football.

RK if that's the case, it is the road to ruin. The likes of Cope and any half decent players will quickly jump ship and relegation will become a reality.

I think if we look at the way the team is playing and how the season has panned out that promotion is now looking increasingly unlikely. We of all teams know that the team that comes into the playoffs with form usually gets through and that certainly isn't us. JJ did a great job up until Jan/Feb but it's almost as if he's frozen under the pressure of a promotion season and we've become even more negative. Every game seems like we are going for a draw rather than a win. Then question comes what happens next season with so many out of contract. I have no doubt JJ will be here next season but then we have the 10 game scenario and we just go round in circles

Keefy, whilst I'm sure there's some "low hanging fruit" in Admin costs & new income sources, the "masterplan" will be to reduce playing budget.
