Being promoted would great! At least we would be 2 relegations away from non league football.

Totally down to Jackson and staff along with a few players planning their future elsewhere. Just no Wimbledon heart evident.
Andy Mac - after Saturday there might be a few spares available…. 😬

I’d be happy to be promoted just so that we wouldn’t have to play MK next season - I’m not in the forgive and forget camp… ā˜ŗļø

I was at that York game on that terrace. I was also on the coach to the first game, and when we were almost there, while it was pissing down, we got the message that it had been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

I was at that York match. I think it was a rearranged Wednesday evening match. It was towards the end of our first Conference Premier season, almost 15 years ago to the day. We were 4-0 down inside 30 minutes and ended up losing 5-0 (Brodie got a hattrick for York - whatever happened to him?). It was a disaster. I seem to recall somebody shouted at Pullen from that open terrace in the second half why was he in goal as Brown (Seb) was better than him, at which point Pullen turned around and told him to f#@k off. Samuelson was also on that open terrace and will have heard what he said. Seb Brown played the next game away to Mansfield, saved two penalties near the end of the game, we won 1-0 and Pullen didn't play again. I think he left in the summer.

The club will not take any action because it is not in their interests to do so, although what do supporters heckling our players expect them to do? Neufville is young, volatile and could start a fight in a phone box. They didn't play crap on purpose. They are just being set up to fail by an awful regimented playing system doomed to fail.
Thanks, Sparta. I'd be interested to know what action the club took at the time, because damned if I remember. Doubt it was simply swept under the rug and forgotten about.

Pete - from earlier. I'm sure it was at York City and Pullen was getting grief from our fans behind his goal and he told.them to fuck off. I can't remember what was behind it tbh.

Three more same old, same old.
It fell just right for us last time. I knew we'd beat Accy and was hoping for Muff in the final, because I didn't fancy our chances v Pompey. So when it was Muff I travelled to Wombley fully confident that we'd be promoted.

Our best chance if we are in the playoffs is to play Walsall and Notts County, though I'm not holding my breath.

Padds - we were third in the Ryman, second in the Conference and 7th in L1. We had momentum and belief in 2016, we don't have that now.

Both times we've been promoted recently we were in the last play-off place, I think.

I know only 3 other teams can make it into the play offs if we are in them too but I have looked at the most likely 4 fighting it out for the other 3 spots.

None of them are particularly good. Walsall should not be in this position and it will be devastating them for them not to get promoted at all given they were 12 points clear with a game in hand at one point, but that is what I think will happen. I reckon whoever creeps into the play offs on the last day will win at Wembley. It will not be us.
I think we will stumble into the play offs. We may already have enough points but one more win (stop laughing) would seal it. Doncaster, Port Vale and Bradford will probably be the automatic three. In the play off will be Notts County (we've a very good record against them and only failed to win once), Colchester (again, a very good record with just a solitary draw blotting an otherwise 100% win rate), Walsall have not won in a dozen or so games and Grimsby (who our matches against have been very evenly balanced - up to this season the home score always mirrored the away score so let's hope that continues). If it was not for the fact that we have become utterly useless, resorting to aimless kicking, time wasting and hoping to nick a goal whilst playing for 0-0, I would be hopeful of play off success. But I'm not and expect us to lose both semi-final legs, whoever we play.

I wonder how much tickets are going to be for those two games?
I resisted posting yesterday as I am so pissed off watching us throw our season away. It is all self-inflicted. OK, we've only had one player this season who could score regularly so what does Jackson do? Change from playing to his strengths to either playing him to the right of a three, which negates his goal threat and because he is slower than he looks, he is totally ineffective, or down the middle like he did yesterday, where he is too small. Now we have zero goal threat. Bugiel is not a goal scorer but he can disrupt the other team or act as a foil for Stevens, which only works as a front two. Why persist with 5-2-3? Kelly has been massive and expensive flop and is not a goal scorer at this level in any formation. Browne has been another expensive flop (albeit funded by friends of our American author fan). Sasu needs to bulk up over the summer. For his size he never wins headers. Foyo needs game time somewhere. For all the praise he gets, it's a shame Cope struck out on our two most expensive signings when we don't have money to waste.

As much as I want to go up, what sort of season would next season be like with the remnants of this squad and a management team unable to change tactics when they are sussed out?
Thanks LD

A question triggeredby the Fair Game propaganda. Burnley should be entitled to two years parachute payments. Do they still get the second year of payments now they have been promoted again?
