REPD - the people that drove the volunteer culture have either stepped down or been pushed aside.

RIP Carlton. Loved that team and he would definitely have started at Wembley ahead of Corkie as he was the first choice on the right before injury. Brilliant foil for Wise on the right and a true club legend

Rest in peace Carlton, great player for us, one of my heroes growing up , loved him. So sad he got injured during the cup run of 88, I just remember him being brilliant in the air and my fav goal of his was him sliding in at Upton Park over the Christmas period 86-87 season, that was a brilliant away day💙💛🙏😢

RIP Carlton, scored possibly the best goal I ever saw at Plough Lane in a better than John Barnes style

Perhaps we loaned Laurie Cunningham to replace Fairweather so Carlton would have probably been on the bench at Wembley IMO

Reckon he would have been in for Corky - who would have been on the bench instead of Scales

Loved Carlton F - don’t know anyone who didn’t rate him - would have been a definite cup final starter if he didn’t break his leg

Sad about Carlton Fairweather. Is that the second of our FA Cup winners to pass away?

Naz - Agreed, although arguably Samuelson's bigger crime is spaffing £33m we didn't have on a ground that loses money even with sold-out league games.
