Why not simply put the equivalent of the monthly DD paid for energy into a savings account and then pay the bill once a quarter by a simple transfer.

Thanks Trigger. I think our finances mean that we have less margin for error than other clubs. We clearly made errors last season (recruitment wasn't great for one), but probably fewer than some better resourced clubs that struggled (e.g. Rotherham, Blackpool, Orient).

EON raised our DD by £40 because they projected we'd use an extra £78 of energy over the next 12 months. I know I'm a retired Maths teacher but I know I'm right that £78 ÷ 12 = £6.50 what is the other £33.50 for?

If you're in credit all year I assume you pay a variable amount, otherwise your balance would continue to grow during spring/summer and autumn.

It would appear HPs estimate for updates is even more random than Micro$oft. It shot up to about 95% and has been busy doing stuff (not stuck) for the last 1/2 hour or so.

Woking EON makes sure I'm in credit all year round and is very selective if I ask for a rebate which they offer now and again.

Keefy, by default, if you pay by DD for energy you are likely to be in arrears for half the winter and spring and in credit for summer and autumn.
