I have horrible feeling that next 2 games we will see our opponents fans celebrating on both occasions

One for autos and one for play offs at our expense
The Ainsworth who has failed everywhere except Wycombe and today was only his second win in 7 at Gillingham. Hughes failed at Bradford, Cowley has not done much since Licoln and Holloway blows hot and cold (though if I was into betting, I'd have a dabble on Swidon getting promted next season). All League 2 managers - maybe all managers - are a gamble.

have we forgotten how to pass to each other, today must have been one of our worst performances of the season, and that's saying something after the last two months

I can't even get excited about a playoff final at Wembley, with cautious jonnie in charge.

I guess the playoffs can be won by not scoring a single goal in match time?

Jaw - I think it was, what a great day! Feels like a lifetime ago. We did well to get a point against Accrington as well back in November but that's about it.

Would love to know what Colchester, Gills, SwinDon, Carlisle are paying the likes of Hughes, Cowley, Ainsworth and Holloway.

TBK still think all managers at this level are inexperienced 🤡
We lack such composure when we go behind. And have such a lack of plan B. I have no hope in us getting a goal back. Can't think of any example this season where we have gone on to win when behind.

That's what football is about. If you don't have hope, you have nothing
I'm sure board will bring in a replacement for Buckley and bring a plan in to plug the losses we are running up each year. If not it's div 2 football until one bad year.

Jackson did well to turn round the furry white dogs egg of a squad he inherited, and has improved consistently every season over the past 3 - finishing positions something like 21st, 10th and now almost certainly playoffs. With some back room help obviously. On that achievement keeping him on looks a rational choice.

The football is just so fucking excruciating to watch though. Have to hope we make similar improvements to our attacking play next season as we did defensively this one. Wishful.
That was not a fun day out at all…. 🙄😒🤦🏻♂️

Agree with that sentiment; however I'm not sure what a 'good' manager is at this level (other than Mark Hughes! Purely on the basis of having managed at a far higher level). Seems to me that quality of manager is largely irrelevant in this league as the tools at his disposal are always going to be second rate

Is Jackson a really good manager? Probably not. Would anyone else who we could attract (given the budget we would give them and the salary we would pay them) be significantly better? Probably not...

We’ve been promised an update on Buckley by Friday. If he stays or is replaced by another of the old boys club, Jackson is going no where. My hope and very much wishful thinking is we get someone external with no history with the club.
