Stevens said he is back on Friday for Northampton

The last time we were in L1 we went into January five points above the relegation zone. We then sold our best (only) chance of a goal in January and got ourselves relegated. Surely we won't be dumb enough to do it again.

If we'd been given that free kick we'd probably have taken ten passes to get it back to Bishop.

I do agree that the ref did seem to give them a lot towards the end and we should have had a free kick for what looked like a foul on Bugiel, but it’s a bit optimistic to say that we would “probably” have scored from such a free kick - based on our play today even saying that we “possibly” would have scored from it would be pushing things

Ref was good today and was letting quite a lot go which a lot of refs at this level would not have. But even by his standards of letting things go he missed a clear and obvious foul on Bugiel which would have given us a free kick on the wing in a dangerous position and we probably would have scored from it. It even got the main stand to make some noise.

Nick, W -- I thought that towards the end, the ref was doing everything to help them get that late soft goal. Their shithousery was typical Clough, dropping at the slightest touch, and the ref bought it all. We got very little from him - prime examples being two fouls on Omar, one when he was chasing the ball towards the corner and was pushed over, the other when one of their defenders jumped on his back like a chimp wrapping arms and legs around him. Good performances from all the defenders, but particularly Johnson and Ogs.

Not good, but not terrible and another point gained towards staying up- I must say that towards the end it did look odds-on that we would lose to a soft late goal from a defensive mistake, so not doing that was a small victory, I suppose

We all see things differently, I thought we improved marginally when Reeves and Bugiel came on, Bugiel was more of a threat than Orsi and we occasionally passed to each other, once or twice even forwards.

I envy those who weren't aware it was a 12.30 kick off. Lewis seemed to spend the last few minutes trying to make my prediction of losing to a silly goal come true.

Could have played till Sunday and I don't think either team would have scored. A really poor game with poor quality. We looked worse when we brought on Bugiel and Reeves which I didn't think was possible. We have no idea what we are doing when we attack. Players ignoring space, no running of the channels, no one taking on players, players taking too much time before shooting. The Nkeng sub was a joke. He was stood on the side for about 10 minutes before he got on. When he did get on, he had about 8 minutes to make a difference. Poor bloke. Really missing Stevens or Hackford to stretch the play, Browne is not a striker.

Changing Man - no I am not. That was still our best chance. Would have been one the funniest own goals scored for us.

I can’t fathom how we managed to score 3 away at Huddersfield in amongst this run of looking so toothless. I thought today was still an improvement on the Exeter performance, but that’s about it.

Silk, are you forgetting Seddon smashed the bar and Johnson's free header in the 1st half which he miss-timed and put wide?

0-0. A terrible game where both teams were more interested in robust gamesmanship (or cheating in other words) than trying to play any football. The only grace for us is that Mansfield are just as poor as we are. No quality in either sides. Although both have injuries they need to stop the cheating and try and win matches.
