Pretty hard to deny that Kelly hasn’t been a very good signing- on the other hand it’s equally clear that our recruitment has been miles better since we got Mr Cope on board. You are always going to have some signings that don’t work out - the trick is to move the “good vs bad” ratio in our favour and we have clearly done that.

Went to watch Epsom & Ewell lose 2-1 at home to Tooting & Mitcham at Tolworth this afternoon - injury time winner too, scrappy game on a bone dry pitch…. Craig Dundas (of 400+ games for Sutton) played the first half for Epsom and Ewell - bit surprised to see him playing at such a low level at the young age of 44… 😲

Ric_braz agree about the other teams. I think it’s why the places are all over the shop. Only one I’d say is PV were totally underperforming for the cash they flashed and now have done what they should have done. We could have been in the automatic right now with more goals. But only 1 of our gambles actually paid off -Stevens. We need to learn from that.

But 7th is our highest ever final placing in the league and we may (or may not) better that this season.

We were 6th in League 1 on 22 Oct 2016 after beating Peterborough 1-0 and again on 19 Nov 2016 after beat Bury 5-1. We finished 15th that season our highest finish since 2002.
