Nothing about what I see suggests we have a change in form about us. Barely a shot on target, at home, in a critical match. Again.

We have to lose and either Salford or Chesterfield have to win.

Grimsby basically have to win next week as they're now out of the play-offs and a draw is highly unlikely to be enough for them whereas a win guarantees them play-offs, almost certainly at our expense. Nightmare scenario we've found ourselves in.

The thing about form is that it does switch at some point but not even scoring a goal in over 350 minutes of football means we haven't even got the basic point of the game at the moment. Expect us to lose next weekend and miss out on the playoffs.

It is time to be positive. In 1988 did we say we might as well not bother turning up at Wembley? Did we say we might as well not bother in the finals against Luton and Plymouth. Time to get our bollocks in working order and go for it.

We've been crap since early February. We got away with it a few times. Then we didn't at Colchester. Then we started losing to shit teams. Then we started conceding late goals to lose points. Now we are cannon fodder and are just losing. We didn't lay a glove on Port Vale today. They probably couldn't believe their luck. 2-0 flattered us. They were far superior. Darren Moore is one of the few 4th Division managers not to rant at officials. It was refreshing to see.
