Got no problem at this point with Mr M. I would have liked the selection process to have been transparent and still hope that all communications leading to this point will be shared in advance of the review commencing - particularly because Co-operatives UK were consulted in the blocking of a candidate in the previous year’s election.

I’m also uncomfortable with the fact that the independent reviewer reports to the DTB - meaning instantly that they are not an independent reviewer. And that the review may never be seen by members. And that the DTB can choose to do whatever they damned well like after the review is concluded. These points, for me, render the process of no identifiable value at present time.
There is an inherent problem in finding people to lead reviews. You can't really elect them and you'd probably get someone unsuitable if you tried. is Ed Mayo perfectly unbiased? No idea. Can I name anyone better to do the job? No. I will hope he is contactable as I still want to push the idea that election rules are approved at an SGM. It may be rubber-stamping of them but there is no argument about what they are.

Timmy - I have already queried that on Discord this morning. The DTB is there to serve members and not the other way around.

What was evident yesterday was the team was set up to be very restrictive at the back, what wasn't clear however what was the intention going forward in open play? Free kicks are a given as an opportunity to launch the ball into the box. Sub 20 touches in the opposition box speaks volumes in my view as a home team against a poor side.

Jackson might be improving as a manager but it's at a snails pace.

I think we will limp towards 50 points. Hopefully that will be enough, I can’t see us getting too many more than that. In other news, the DTb election review has got going [Link]

Be interesting to see what actually gets presented to the members versus the full version the DTb receive
The only upside of yesterday was the club probably saved some money not having the floodlights on. Perhaps we should move every game to 12.30 because whatever time of day the game is played we will still be shite.

Just 5 points off the relegation zone. Will Stevens make a difference if we cannot give him a decent service?

Truly *******awful. Jackson currently is as much part of the problem as anything else. Sets up to reach half-time at 0-0 and to then nick a goal (somehow) during the seecond half. Too much passing square and back from players who cannot achieve a high enough sufccessful pass rate to make that a valid approach. Always reactive rather then proactive with substitutions. The current style of refereeing (letting a lot more go) is ruining the game, turning it into a 90 minute session of wrestling. If the game had been advertised that, I suspect most people would have gone home happy having got their money's worth. Another 4 hours wasted watching shite!!! When will I learn.

And just what is the point of Orsi - get rid in the transfer winow to any Conference club stupid enough to pay for him.
Wonder who attacked Sammy.

Morning all. Bristol Rovers sack their manager after a tenth straight loss.
More back and sideward passes than a broncos match...

Just 5 points off the play-offs! Need Stevens back soon, so we can move on up.

Lewis poor, Smith off form. Can see why Maycock doesn't start - disappointing.
Sultans of Swing on a recorder. Dire Straits could have done with him performing on stage at Woburn when I saw them in 1992 - whilst heavily pregnant. My daughter is now 33 and a mother herself. [Link]

Plus side had a fabulous evening in the sultan,10 pints in met some old friends and some super new proper pub people.
It would be nice if the club sent a message to Sammy.

Best wishes to Sammy Moore for a speedy recovery. If it's GBH, it must have been a pretty bad assault.

Agreed. Orsi doesn’t lack effort or even skill on the ball but he’s not good off the ball. Browne isn’t a target man he’s best off behind a front two or one. Nothing against either of them they have been given roles and are trying their best. But if we can return to a Stevens and Bugiel front two I think that will help to slow down our decline at worst.

27 games in L1 - has anyone ever gone that long without a win? 🤪

I don’t know where to position my hopes for the remainder of the season tbh. I’m not prepared to doom monger yet about a relegation battle but it is only 5 points and we’re in extremely poor form both statistically and to the naked eye. We have Stevens to come back in but it feels like we’ve lost Bugiel despite him being available. No one knows what January holds but from the info available we’re not going to boost the squad during that month. Never expected playoffs so not moaning about that.
27 games to go and a point per game would probably see us stay up....
