OI, Keefy, Florida etc - I have now managed to renew a season ticket online. They have obviously fixed whatever was wrong with the online booking process. And they also take Amex now which is good for my Avios.

Sandy - it’s just about the demise of Ks and the new Kingston FC club.

A4E - that link won't work for me. What the gist of it?

Kite - I’m not in favour of any football club going to the wall (well, with the obvious exception of one particular abomination…), but it’s a real pity that the Ks fans did so little to help their club at its time of greatest need… :(

Whatever you think about the behaviour of some kingstonian fans, it's very sad to see them in dire straights

Many of us get it but don't think it would significantly increase our revenue whilst pissing off those of us who aren't into razzmatazz.

I'm still waiting to hear why you think your ideas on prices etc. would be adopted after a rights issue (I'm a chaser of lost causes)
CW - and those tickets were basically free, definitely not £30.

What could the club “take on board” - please elaborate, using actual examples.

Some of you are maybe missing the point. Someone has taken a previously poorly supported sport like Netball and through thinking outside of the box have turned it into the beginnings of a professional sport attracting relatively large crowds at £30 ish a ticket. There are quite a few L1 & L2 Clubs with a lower average attendances than London Pulse, Nottingham Forest or Leeds Netball teams - even a few with huge resources i.e, Salford. There are bound to be things that our Club could take on board - just need to be a bit more open minded.

Women’s hockey used to be played on grass at Wembley stadium in front of 60,000 plus crowds most of which were screaming school kids bussed in from their schools across the country

There was a crowd of just under 10,000 at the O2 final, so not a full house - decent turnout, but the O2 holds up to 22,500. Been there a few times for gigs (Foo Fighters, Muse, Manics, etc…), and the atmosphere is great when it’s properly full…

I remember the 80s when football was in crisis and the press were gleefully predicting that basketball was set to take over as number 1 sport in the UK needless to say it never happened

I did watch a couple of England netball games recently, not a bad standard
a4e - you are correct. Apologies. When my son said BoxPark I assumed at Wembley. Apparently last years final was played to a full house at the 02. Apparently Marinakis of Forest is the latest to get on board. It seems to have come out of the wilderness and is really promoting itself. I will get along myself to see what he is raving on about.
