The one thing about open terraces in the rain that catches my eye

Is the prat with the brolly stood next to me..
Also my apologies if the Say Nothing recommendation earlier caused any offence - I appreciate there is generational damage associated with that subject matter and those events directly. As a lad growing up in the 70s/80s who was effectively untouched by things I find it interesting but didn’t wish to gloss over the hurt and damage those times created at the time and may still be real to this day.

Trigs - back in 1982 I attended the 2 NI WC matches at Athletico Madrid - lovely curved uncovered terracing.

Had to take off T-shirt to sit on as concrete was so hot!!
When I’m CEO of AFC Wimbledon we’ll expand the ground to a 66k capacity and the home end will be a massive Spanish-style curved terrace with no roof. Be lovely in the early and late months of the season and in January it will be a rite of passage. Proper supporters.

There’s just something romantic about an Accy away end. The old Plough Lane away end, Curzon Ashton and the like. People say a roof helps amplify the noise but when it’s only the atmosphere between the voices and the Heavens we sing louder come rain, sleet or snow. I reckon.
You'd get my vote, Triugs. Just as long as I didn't have to be in one of those uncovered stands on a wet night, though...

Really? Well I’m kinda disappointed by that. When I become Football Regulator I will enforce all league stadia to have at least one uncovered free-standing terrace. I’m gonna put the football back in, er, football.

We’ve definitely gone backwards and it feels very intentional.

I remember they painted the lines red and played with an orange ball. Paul Hodges scored the first goal from the penalty spot in a 3-0 win.

Sure they must be “envious of our friendly debt.”
A late, late smash and grab would be good, love the feeling of a Ronan Curtis type end to the game for us.

I see Wrexham have been wheeling and dealing in regard to their shareholding.

Looks to be a bit Harry's dog type of arrangement, council making a sizeable donation if I've read that right. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney sell Wrexham stake to US private equity group | Wrexham | The Guardian [

Is it generally accepted that we’ve gone backwards in terms of our AGM/SGM streaming and voting experience?

For information, George did add (and I am now quoting) "I would also add that due to the live streaming software the quality of the stream in zoom is less than ideal due to the fact you are watching a stream of a stream so the quality is low and the delay is quite high. This is why we encourage everyone to watch on the club app where possible even though this cannot accommodate voting live."

Well contacting Angus got a response from George. I won't post the whole thing (too long and I'm always cautious about sharing emails). The answer seems to be that we can pose questions via Zoom during the meeting but George has so many balls in the air that he might overlook a question on Zoom. Now the cynics out there might think that any question they didn't fancy answering on Zoom would escape attention but I'm sure we prefer avoiding cynicism.
