Yeah £34 for non entertainment like over the last few months is not value for money.

If you went to a gig or theatre and paid £34 and got repeated duff performances, you would ask for your money back😂

Fans owned is taking the titanic way forward, some can see it,some are blinded by the romance of pretending to be owners..

I think there are a few prevailing winds in our favour that could help the financial situation: Elinor contract is up soon (general suggestion is we will do better from the next contract/contractor). The pre-funded stadium sponsorship is used up and we are now back at market rates with Cherry Red. Reducing the 'child ST loop hole' and a few other ticketing things will work without pissing off too many more. Sooner or later we will do something with the third-floor. The ticketing system seems to basically work and people are getting used to selling-back unused STs. Our club shop and merch team seem better than ever.

None of this is a silver bullet, but I definitely think we need to get used to the idea that it's a lot of small things that we need to improve on, not one big master plan 'check mate' chess move.
£34 is at the lower end of the scale for a live event. The cost for music gigs especially has doubled or trebled since Covid. Theatre has always been very expensive. For 90 minutes of 'entertainment' (OK, I know) £34 is not way out of line.

Relegation is always a threat for every club regardless of finances. Look at Carlisle! We've Iooked and played like a team that thinks it's safely in the play-offs for a while now. Statistically they're probably right.

I refuse to indulge in what might have been.
£34?! Was kind of thinking I should do a game at some point; maybe not at that price.

The bulk of the annual operating loss can be covered by the obvious and simple measure of raising ticket prices by a few quid. I know some people don't like this idea or don't want to hear it or think someone else should pay instead. But that will happen because it has to.

Per annum! Out traditional supporters may cough up but newbies won't. If you want a fan owned club you have to pay for it. Don't think that was mentioned at the set up! We have moved forwards and at the moment we cannot fund it with our present funding model.

Could have the best stadium in non league if it's not sorted soon.
If we somehow make the playoffs, I still think we need to get right behind them - it’s really hard to tell when either we are going to be home or away in the second leg, but the latter seems perhaps more likely* - not sure whether it makes much difference… 🤷🏻‍♂️

The statement about members donating £1m appears to have vapourised - if that is the strategy, there needs to be a way of facilitating this

RK - Yes, as I said, we might not like it but that seems to be the extent of the plan as it's currently presented to the Dons Trust members. I am not for a minute suggesting that I think it's a good enough plan. To be fair, they do also seem to be doing things to increase revenue per head on match days (ticket prices up, reduced discounts). So there are at least two elements to the plan.

If we are waiting for anything, it's the operating costs review that TBK said he would do from his first day on the DTB.
The sad thing yesterday was individually everyone was poor. Over hit crosses, passes straight to the opposition, long balls into the goalkeepers hands, two decent headers not on target. We looked really low on confidence against a team that was hard to break down.

Biggles, our debt will rise because we make a loss each season unless we can sell players each year. Yes selling equity is a way and could be a solution, but we have to accept we make a loss each year before player sales which are not guaranteed.

We are the owners and whereas other clubs have millionaires who can subsidise L2 football, with us we have to dig deep into our pockets and thats ok when we are playing ok and winning, but the moment that changes we will see reactions from us fans when we were being relegated from L1.

We can all celebrate our achievements as a fan-owned club, but we have hit our ceiling I feel and next season we are likely to be the most expensive L2 club to watch, especially on matchdays when it will be £34 to be behind the goal.

Our debts are falling, not rising. Selling a big chunk of "equity" if we can will go a long way to paying off most of our remaining debt and cutting the burden of interest payments.

Martin - because if you guys (club board, DTB and senior club employees) don't come up with a strategy to eliminate or radically reduce losses, our playing budgets will fall and we will get worse players and be in danger of heading to non-league. I hope you are suitably prepared for the challenge.

It's simple ... we win our last 2 and Bradford and Walsall lose both if theirs. Happy Days. 👏👏
