KD - I really do not understand your hatred of John Green. He's simply a football supporter with more money than most, and happy to pass on some of his online earnings from he and his brothers' YouTube channel. Last night I suspect there would have been attendees who do not support us, so bringing new people to the stadium for a non-matchday event.

Also the idea he needs our help to get media attention is laughable.

I think it's fair to have been cynical about John Green's involvement initially, although even at the time my feeling was anything that grew our profile with potential new fans was good. But come on, he's a decade in, has consistently put money in, has continued to promote us at every opportunity and has asked for nothing in return. He wasn't doing the event tonight for self-aggrandisement, he did it to raise money for the club.

John Green is lucky to have found a great football club with low self-esteem that seems pathetically grateful to have a moderately successful American purveyor of teen literature as patron.

John Green was marvellous tonight. Our biggest non-football event apparently. We're so lucky to have him as a supporter. His story is similar to ours in many ways. Good publicity for his important new book about the continued horror of Tuberculosis in the developing world.

Truth is that many ST holders will renew when DD window kicks in even though they have been shit on. The club are clearly shitting themselves in respect of current renewal rates. All self inflicted
