Spit - Not only was my road turned into a rat run some years ago when they put traffic lights in at Cannon Hill/Grand Drive, but it's also used as a car park by mums taking their sprogs to and from the local brainwash place. Don't mind the latter at all, why should I, but turning the road into a route to avoid those traffic lights has become a sour point. The 20mph limit has been about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Anyways, as a consequence of the heavy use of the road surface, it developed a wide, deep split right down the middle, which the council have ignored. If they got that Jeremy Vine whinger to ride down, he'd end up with his wheels stuck down the gap. Bet they'd repair it quick enough then. Seem ironic they can asphalt entire pavements, but ignore potholes and splits on road surfaces. Perhaps they hope all the litter the bin men leave behind will miraculously blow into and plug said split. Yes, that must be it.

Always made me laugh that when monkleigh rd and Ashridge way in morden were made school streets, that woodland way was also made a school street,I wonder which ex merton council leader lives down that road. Can't have them yummy mums dropping off the kids and turning round that street 😂
