An enforced business plan could be a good thing.

REPD The Nelson now uses that portal when using the standard NHS app to book an appointment. Worked very well for me.

Stu - I wonder what impact the Football Regulator will have on these sums of money? Also Financial Fair Play rules (hahahaha).

League One Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, known as the Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP), cap player-related spending at 60% of a club's relevant turnover, with recent changes allowing owners to invest more initially but still within limits (e.g., only part of a large investment counts towards the cap) to promote sustainability and prevent overspending. Clubs submit accounts, and breaking these rules can lead to sanctions like registration embargoes or enforced business plans.
Really concerned me that the word sacrosanct was used around fan-ownership. The club has been in existent in many disguises for 136 years and only 23 of those have been under fan-ownership. How anyone says fan-ownership is sacrosanct when saying that owners in L1 put in around £6m a year is crazy. I have always said we made the impossible, possible, however sometimes the impossible can’t happen as money don’t grow on trees around PL and to survive in the football world ypu do have to do what everyone else does.

Morning all. Top tip for GP appointments - don't use AskFirst app, but use the Accurx Patient Portal...

Got *telephone* consultation for this Friday, which is exactly what I'm after.
DunDonald - you are correct. Private chats suggested £3000 a year, but that was toned down as it was thought it would frighten people away, and PLB with a one-off became the theme. :o)

Keefy - that’s great news 🎉 I’m just back from my appointment - referred for “urgent” ultrasound, so will let you know how quickly that comes through… 😬

Re yesterdays GP surgeries chat. Went online yesterday to ask for a non urgent face to face appointment. Phone call this morning and have 9am app on the 22nd. All is forgiven Nelson Med centre.

Apologies for the adverts on that site. Story may be covered in other places. Essentially there’s a big row going on in Cameroon about who’s in charge of their national team and at the moment they have two completely separate national squads claiming to be the ones who will compete at AFCON.

Morning all. Christmas party last night.
Spit , in regard to GP surgeries, whilst I have a good relationship with Newport Health Centre, it doesn't rate well, quite a large churn of staff there, but probably the biggest one toi, so might be a factor. Wootton, speaking to friends seems to have a lot of positive views. Might be a factor in selecting a house to move to, for you going forward. I don't remember the £3,000 per year bit. People were talking about a one-off £3,000 towards the stadium, and that turned into the PL Bond.

BTW we have doubled our attendances, and therefore we should be generating more income and profit.

Dundonald - think it was the December 2019 meeting where people were asked to commit £3000 a year to fund the new stadium. Do you remember whether any notes of names were taken on the night, please? Thanks

That’ll bring the new fans in ooooh
Would investors be interested in buying control for a number of years? Like Barcelona where they elect a president. It's the only solution I can think of to our financial problems where the fans still retain a say in who runs the club. Like Spotify where you don't own the music or PCP on cars.

Sell down to 50%+1 and we will be back to where we are now in a few years. Sticking plaster over a sink hole.

Control LD. There might be people who would see us as a very attractive investment if they had control but 50%+1 offers them nothing unless they insist on very severe restrictions on what we can do (i.e. get close to control)

What's attractive to all the other owners of L1 clubs that invest an average of £6.4m a year?

Keefy: 50% and 75%. Twice.
Any rational investor should just sit on the sidelines for a few years and then pick up the club and all its assets for next to nothing.

Then they can asset strip the club and leave us back at square one with a new phoenix club. But at least we’ll own it.
Did I get that right to get 50+1 through 60% of trust membership must vote and 75% of those must vote yes ?

How can anyone think we are an attractive investment when we have systemic losses of between 1 and 2 million per annum and no serious strategy for turning that around? We are a lousy investment.
