OI Exactly right no one will put money in just to pay off debts. So in your words Administration seems to be the only way forward!! I see there is SGM tomorrow night. Hopefully the grand plan will br revealed. Kicking the can down the road cannot go on for ever.

Mark L - selling down to 50%+1 has no obvious major effect on our losses. Would somebody owning a maximum of 15% be willing to put their hand in their pocket to support ongoing losses? If you want someone rich to make up the losses then they will want control, i.e. the end of fan ownership. Whether you think that is now the way to go or not, getting there with our current governance almost certainly involves administration. Persuading 75% of members to vote to sell out when many of the established names will fight it to the last looks vanishingly unlikely.

but properly presented 50%+1 gets a yes from me. I was against because I didn't trust the previous bunch to manage it properly
I know people say this every week but the empty seats thing is so weird. I bought resale tickets a week or so ago and at that point almost no availability and no pairs together. Get to the game and large gaps in every stand.

Thought it was a game of two halves; us narrowly better than Vale in 1st but Vale well on top in 2nd. Stats back me up

Goodness knows what we were playing for yesterday.
...and likewise for SwinDon... is what I meant

Just to add: The OS write-up of the Morecambe game says a crowd of 6751 (whereas that website says 7651) and likewise 6304 (vs 6340). The stats in our matchday programme are as per the OS write-ups. Which is correct, I have no idea.

Never say never Silk, but I don’t think JJ has faith in a back four. Plus Reeves is back in so I assume we go 352 again. I’d chuck Kelly in tbh.

Agreed on record crowd. As for average, it depends on whether the attendances for Morecambe and SwinDon were as per that website or as per the stats published in the matchday programme. If the latter, then our average was 7971. An attendance of 8675 at a play-off home game (if that counts) would take us to 8000.

I wonder if a move to 4-4-2 would be worthwhile with Ogs and Reeves in for Hutch and Maycock. I wonder if JJ is contemplating change this week.

How fun would us being 1-0 down and we get a 97th minute penalty?

Don't Panic!. Early odds are: Grimsby 17/10; Draw 11/5; Us 13/8. Which when you run it through the probability calculator is Grimsby 36%, Draw 27%, Us 37%. This game is not a slam dunk home win and the chance of getting something from this match is high. Less pant-soiling and more faith.

thought Carsh & Hysterical were going to run on the pitch, at final whistle, to get at the Port Vale fans for 1983
Kent - that’s what I said yesterday, Chesterfield reeled in the GD gap between us and them, and are the likeliest in my view to be the ones to make the playoffs at our expense… Salford will probably lose to Carlisle, and assuming we lose to Grimsby, all Chesterfield have to do is win at Accrington and it’s game over…. Alternatively, we are a goal down until the 95th minute, when up steps Foyo to smash us into the playoffs with a 30 yard thunderbolt…. 🤪😂

Making the play-offs would be fun but it's really difficult to see us as a realistic threat

7 points from the last 8 games. 6 goals scored in that period. The season has really fizzled out dramatically.

It’d be a particularly grim but rather poetic irony if we failed to make the playoffs on goals scored.

i.e. if our points total and goal difference was equal to Chesterfield
If JJ is planning to park the bus at Grimsby next weekend (which we must assume will be the case), it’s going to be a very long 90 minutes for the travelling faithful to have to endure. Desperate really.

Going to be interesting if Jackson is banned for the Grimsby game. I don't know how but it's still in our hands. Hopefully Reeves being back will make a difference.
