BBC Radio Oxy did a half-decent April Fool just before mid-day. They said that the Eurovision contest was to be replicated in Asia, hosted in Bangkok this year.

That photo was originally taken from the 1887 cup final at the Oval between West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa. No goal nets, so the umpire is looking along the goal line. Victorian technology!

The front page of the FT had a mock up of the Trump Presidential Library with a 747 inside it and a gold escalator which I assumed was their April Fool but apparently it is genuine (reported elsewhere)

Raynes Parker - Interestingly the referee stood off the pitch and was only there as arbitor of the two umpires - one each from the opposing sides - until Old Centrals third seaspm when the umpires became linesmen and the referee took his place on the pitch and control.

Not an April's fool joke, but seeing pictures of Japanese fans cleaning up after themselves, was systematic of the team they just watched. Friendly or not they gave a shit, that's a good place to come from.
