JG - prices will go up but you will be left moaning they haven't gone up enough as you are the opposite end of the spectrum from the enshriners and most of us are in the middle somewhere. Which is why I think even if your rights issue plan was implemented and successful (neither of which will actually happen), your much higher prices prospectus would never be adopted.

They did kill the momentum with that. Along with any Sutton repeat, sadly
Today and next game were always going to be “free hits” - the danger lurks within the rest of our fixtures. Every other game we have currently involves an opponent that has an active interest in winning, whether playoff place or avoiding relegation.

Maybe as we come to them some may not have that motivation anymore. But 7 points above the drop isn’t enough to get the fancy dress costumes out just yet 🍌
I'd like to think nerves may hinder Lincoln a bit on Friday as the hardest thing is getting across the line, which is what Friday is for them. In all probability they will have too much for us but it is something to cling to, hope-wise. Looking forward to the game. Lincoln is a nice place to visit. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. The fortifications and cobblestone streets remind me a bit of York and Chester. I can see us getting something at home to Luton on Easter Monday. Then it is a case of what happens on the day for the rest of the season as we are good enough to win them all but also bad enough to lose them all so somewhere in between will do (and will probably be how it pans out).

I too think Exeter will be the 4th team to drop. Port Vale, Northampton and Rotherham have had it.
If I’ve got this correct, the bottom 7 clubs have mustered 8 wins between them across the last 6 games - I don’t think anyone should panic, not even if we get thrashed by Lincoln…

Rather flattering for Stockport. Their goalie played a blinder. Good second half for us today, youngsters looked promising. We'll probably need more than 50 points to stay up methinks, but we should just about manage it despite all our injuries.

I’m looking at the Burton and Wigan away fixtures to see where our next points are coming from. Today was a good example of why we are where we are in the table (this is not a moan.) Played pretty well considering the squad issues but 3-0. Next week at Lincoln isn’t exactly going to be easier.

Huddersfield at home on the final day depends, hopefully, on whether they have anything to play for. Could be a dead rubber could be a play off place all or nothing for them. If we can take points off Wigan and or Burton then it should be an end of season who-cares game for us.
I disagree, Wigan won’t go, Exeter probabl will

If we’re looking for a central defender to replace Joe Lewis I saw one at Wealdstone today. His name is Deon Woodman he is at least 6’6 and he is fast so ticks all the boxes, don’t imagine he would cost a lot either

I think Vale, Northampton, and Rotherham will be the bottom three, and the 4th relegation place will be fought out between Exeter, Blackpool, Wigan, and Burton - among the remaining fixtures, Blackpool face Exeter, Northampton play Wigan, Rotherham have both Vale and Wigan, Vale also play Wigan, and Burton will have to face Exeter too… My money would probably be on Wigan to drop.

Any idea why Lincoln didn't play today? Our game at their place is sold out in the home sections because if they win (or don't and results elsewhere go their way) they will be prompted so it could be a carnival atmosphere, with us seen as merely making up the numbers. I'd love us to be the party poopers WFC used to be but I cannot see it and nobody would begrudge them promotion as they have been consistently outstanding. Whilst I agree we are "probably" safe, I would be looking for a win or a few draws in out last 7 games to feel relaxed. Everyone we have to play need points for different reasons and we'll have to do without our only two sources of goals in Stevens and Browne.

thanks to WJ with an assist there
Nick W - it’s certainly a start – a small step in the right direction – as you rightly say – reducing our losses…not yet reaching profit. Unfortunately, we have continued to provide bursaries/hand-outs for the Over 66s and the Unwaged. But yes, I am pleased that the Club is becoming slightly more Commercial. The acid test for me is the cost of a ticket as a multiple of a coffee. At the Starbucks outside Plough Lane a double espresso is £3.90, so typically the cost of a matchday ticket represents around 6 coffees. At Stockport I had an excellent espresso (a double) in a fairly upmarket coffee shop for £2 – of which my matchday ticket represented a multiple of more than 14. By the Coffee test – we’ve still got a long way to go.

JG - you will doubtless be happy that your wish, for us to increase ticket prices significantly, is coming to fruition next season. That said, I suspect that the effect of any increase in overall revenue will mainly be to reduce our losses, rather than allowing a meaningful increase in playing budget.

Paid £29 for a seat today at Stockport in a canopy covered stand, with a view severely obstructed by posts. Last Saturday in one of the most affluent parts of one of the most expensive Cities in the World - the Amrrican tourist sitting next to me one the half way line had paid the paltry amount of £23. That's why our playing budget is poor - but at least pound for pound we are the best team in the league. Hay..ho!

Pretty much what I expected although to be honest I thought we played pretty well in the second half and were unlucky not to get a goal to make things a little more tense. Obviously they didn’t need to push too hard being 2 up at half time but we had some decent chances to make it 2-1 and either our finishing was lacking or their keeper stepped up. Subs detracted from the game but that’s ok given our squad issues. Stockport fans much better outside the ground than inside they made no noise even at 2-0 up but I’m sure they’d say they have bigger fish to fry and that we were all expecting the end result anyway.

Players gave it their all and were justly applauded at full time.
Toothless up front to go with a creaky defence = a 3-0 defeat. Never been a great Jackson fan but would advise him to take any offer that comes his way. Must be so frustrating managing a club with a shit player budget.
