Keegy in my experience they don’t answer questions whatever method you use to ask them (and I have tried them all) unless you get them at a quiz table with prizes.

Trebor, totally agree with that, besides, its efficient surely to only need to answer a question once, that can only happen if other people who might be asking DTB members the same without needing to repeat the same question.

Emails from members asking a question should really be responded to as if they were asking the question in a public forum, IMO.

I can see some circumstances for asking people not to repeat things (and I have obeyed that a couple of times) but they should be the exception not the norm.

So, if I understand correctly you are encouraging us all to email you questions, but we can’t share the answers cos emails are private. Can’t you see how completely ludicrous that is? It’s the complete opposite of openness and trans parity. And yet you’re surprised at how few emails yiy get. You probably out that down to people being satisfied rather that totally disillusioned.

Surely if you can tell people individually over email then it’s not sensitive enough not to post on here

Why is it better if the answer to a question could help benefit or inform more people?

That's a shame. It's usually better to keep email communications between two people private in my experience.

Tbk , I’ve done that, and you’ve answered. Along with “pls don’t tell anyone” .. so I won’t be bothering again.

Maybe we should start offering the board prizes , bribes even, to answer our questions.
