Trig- calling Kitey 'they', rather than 'he', or if in doubt 's(he)'. Mr P is remonstrating with me for being boring, so apologies all.

Pads I don’t even know what I’ve done there 😅😬 Please feel free to educate me and I’ll try to avoid repetition!

Is it the use of their rather than his or hers?
Absent voting, i.e. giving a yes or no when unable to attend is absolutely fine. Giving your vote to someone else to use as they see fit needs to be tightly controlled if not banned. A maximum number(6 perhaps) for any one person to control would seem a compromise but still leaves technical problems (How do you know when someone already has 6?, How do I inform the meeting I have been given votes by others?)

Trig my dear, your use/abuse of the personal pronoun does my head in in the same way as a bookshelf of volumes arranged according to colour!

A pedantic point not a political one, honest.
I disagree with the whole concept of proxy votes as it undermines the whole democratic process and puts unwarranted power and influence in the hands of another individual, usually the chairman. At a push I could accept somebody naming a friend or family member, as long as the number of proxy votes they are given is limited to, say, 5, but nothing else. Having a chairman with more proxy votes than the actual number of people attending a meeting to vote was ridiculous.

If people are unable to vote for whatever reason (laziness, incompetence, absence or lack of interest/understanding) then don't vote.
Agree Wu and I think you’re right about the former. It’s not if they exist but how they are used for me - as Proxygate is not something anyone wants to see repeated especially when it’s something as crucial as a new constitution.

If supporters have actively opted to allow an individual proxy vote then that is surely their decision and to be respected. If their vote becomes a proxy by default if they don’t vote themselves then that is much more of a problem in my opinion. Which is it?

I would like to see proxy votes got rid of. People need to read the question and make their own decision without direction from the DTB.

The DTB Chair has not to date replied to or acknowledged my question about whether they will use proxy votes then it comes to approving the new constitution.

I decided not to also ask them how much the Dons Trust has paid Dave Boyle to write the constitution. We can ask that later. If anyone wishes to ask The Dons Trust Board Chair whether they intend to use proxy votes when it comes to approving the new constitution please feel free to do so. I suspect given board member conduct on here that Angus is going to ignore my question but will quite happily answer someone else.
Players went down and were sh*t I remember that much.

Doubts creeping in maybe a year on - but a decent performance at Peterborough could help settle things.
If Reading can beat Stevenage tomorrow (unlikely, but you never know…), we could technically go top on Saturday (also unlikely, but you never know…) 😬

Anyone that's been in equity markets past two years has done very well. Rumours for some time now, that US markets are over-priced and a crash is likely. The Sage of Omaha is said not to be buying equities for time being
