We have stopped playing to our strengths, and attempted to turn into Man City by passing out from the back without the players who have skill set needed or pace. It appears to a mentality that has infected a number of teams. Need to get back to POMO throughout the match, and not just final 15 minutes. Hippo and his long throws should have been on the pitch at half time.

POMO - Position Of Maximum Opportunity. The chaos which JJ refers to in his post-match interview.
Amazing to think a win on Oct 25th at home v Burton would have sent us top of the league and now 2 months later we are just 2 points above the drop zone and sinking like a stone. Wycombe away on Sunday has a three nil home win written all over it. Time surely now for the Leftwaffe running the club to bail out and sell 51% (or more) to outside investment.

JJ will be saved by the lack of expectation of him being in the lowest group of budget clubs for this league. Ordinarily he'd be toast for lack of points obtained in such a dull and unambitious fashion. Small budget doesn't equal lack of ambition. Whatever the shortcomings we entered this season with, the need to display a " having a go attitude " was always one trait we should be taking as a given, from a plucky Wimbledon team.

We may not have the players to keep us up, but the shape and appetite to try and play football that is at least offering something worthy of the match fès fot it's fans is on the manager. Not being good enough is ok, but not offering the fans hope, isn't. Even the last knocking of the last league one campaign, did at least offer hope, despite the failing clear to see, this time there's no chance of mixing things up with the matchday bingo card, late subs etc...
Is JJ morphing into MR? - it certainly sounds like it.

Yet another clueless performance. On 23 November, I posted ---- "Well, the decline has truly set in. I expect us to be outside the top 14 by Christmas and between 18-20th by late January." ---- Fuck me!!! We are not even in January. Where will we be by late January? 23rd?

Oo er missus!
Trigger- agree that our problems this time are less about poor management (Jackson isn’t a great manager, but he is good enough if given the resources needed) than about simple economics, that we don’t have the cash to compete in this league (whether we have the resources to compete in L2 without running at an unsustainable loss is less clear but we will find out soon enough).

at some point we will see a goal at Plough Lane again and maybe even win. It might not happen for many years, decades even, maybe even not for generations. But it will happen. I hope.
I said at the start of the season that we'd likely finish bottom, so after starting so well and gaining quite a few points, I thought we might slip into mid-table and be safe for another season, but the way we've nosedived lately, I think 23rd will be the best we can hope for, what with how bad Port Vale are but I still wouldn't be surprised if even they could finish above us. Basically, we are that shit.

Plough Lane was meant to provide a way to extend our competitive range. Instead we spent far too much money on a stadium which delivers far too little money and we appear to have done nothing to change that. The third floor is now I believe offices for club staff - it was built at great expense to be revenue generating for the club.

Still same old folk running the club. Worst DTB in living history. Worst PLCB in living history. Buckley entertaining the controversial head of the Election Steering Group in the Royal Box at Wembley and denying involvement. Money going missing. Jeez.
Trigger - agree about economic reality setting in

Terrible evening, but at least we got to enjoy that promotion last season - can’t wait to see how many we ship at Orient and Wycombe, this could get embarrassing…. 🙄

This feels different from last time. Last time was because of small minds making small minded decisions and thinking they were big minded ones. This time feels like economic reality biting regardless of any decisions.

Last season we managed to separate the football management from the club/trust management for the first time in a long time. It’s not possible to maintain that separation. We are punching below our weight financially when we need to be punching high above.
Another bugbear is knocking it straight back to Lewis at starts/restarts. Take a look at where the opposing keeper is. Also, take defensive throw-ins to feet, not bouncing into the midriff so it takes more time to control, enabling opponents to close in on our player receiving the ball. All simple coaching!

Couldn’t be there tonight (thank you, South West Trains) but doesn’t sound like I missed much. Given that we are now just above the relegation zone now, and financial factors mean that we are likely to be relatively weaker after the January window (absent a bit of magic from Mr Cope) l, it is hard to see the rest of the season being anything more than a long slide towards L2.

We show no attacking ambition and that hands the advantage to our opponents long before kick off. I don’t think JJ is doing a good job but I don’t think a change of manager changes our fortunes either.
I’d have Hutchinson, Browne and Hippolyte as the middle three. And we need to stop putting everyone in the goal area at attacking corners. The current tactic is utterly brainless.

Worst home performance of the season.
Jaw upset Hutchinson got us into the playoffs after having a heart attack. Worth the money in that one goal,Wembley win and league one football.

Not often I do this but gave up watching towards the end. Just couldn't watch any more of our aimless hoof ball. Next two games are going to be tough and then we have a good stretch to sort out what we are doing cause at the moment we are going down. Honestly, we need to offload some deadwood and bring in some fresh faces. League One is a step up and some players aren't coping.

Wage thieves all of them and Jackson won't worry as we cannot afford to sack him. Desparate times ending the match with all our forwards on!

In the Premier days the older players carried the younger ones coming through - do we see this in this team? Someone could tell me they see it.

Not too sure JJ is the problem here.
If we can’t even give Exeter a game at home then we’re on a long goodbye. The only thing the club can do to try and arrest our decline is to sack JJ and I’ve been a balanced commentator on him during his tenure I’ve seen him as not good enough and also fair play done wonders with what he’s had to play with. What we have now is not about the manager or Cope. It’s about our ability to compete and our ability to work out where the money is disappearing.

If we can stop the club leaking money into nowhere with no comment or accountability then we’re might be able to afford a squad. £400k disappearing and no comment from Buckley or Little or Fox. Not a single comment. That’s our money. We deserve a statement.
