Laurence, well hopefully Wednesday night will reveal a plan to pay off debt while remaining a league club. That would need serious outside investment. Don't think 50+1 will cut the mustard.

Us and Exeter has shown the experiment has blown up in the school Lab
Why would we sign that Swiss bloke then?

Keefy makes wide of the mark claim: Sad that the Fan owned only clique want to see us fold. Where is your evidence, please?

had some very interesting and positive conversations this afternoon via messenger.
Uneasy feeling that Wednesday will be about telling us what to think rather than giving us any transparency or useful information. “We’ve been very clear that fan ownership is unsustainable in League One that’s why we have signed up to Fans Against Football a new non-profit run by “insert name of satellite clique member here” with the aim of achieving parity across the EFL by not allowing anyone else to spend any money either. This has been approved by the Football Supporters Association.”

Anyone know how much we pay the FSA each year?
I'm sure Wednesday will spell that fans owned is over and if not welcome to administration 🙄

That’s the problem Keefy right there. We have a board that doesn’t want to listen to offers, won’t go out and try to find decent offers and one could possibly argue that even if they did they wouldn’t do a very good job of it…

Let’s see what we get told on Wednesday.
CW but will the board even listen to an offer?

To quantify that, the next owner will gladly sell naming rights etc to the people we won't on ethical grounds. They'll start with fan appeasement, but if it doesn't pay, they will follow the money.

That doesn't necessarily mean bad owners, but it probably mean they will fall foul with a certain section of supporter, and in my view, they are the same ones who have lead us to where we are now...
Alan, you could be right, enough left over to pay off the un protected bond holders.

if we were sold, what happens to the cash paid for the shares held by the trust? i'm sure this was asked before but can't remember the answer - does it go to charity or something?

Keefy, I'd suggest that being poorly run would make us attractive to a buyer with nous. It would be the equivalent of buying low to sell high. Most purchases for anything where there's money to be made comes from the fact, that your great deal begins with the purchase price. I'd suggest our club, regardless of the debt, falls into the bargain basement class, when you factor in potential development and location.

3rd choice keeper just to the end of the season apparently.
Mentioned sell out a few times get responses of well who would buy us! Have we run this club so badly over the years that AfC Wimbledon is un saleable??

I also think the money we have got for the rest of the seasons has come with these stipulations.

Even though I got abuse on here for pointing this out the club are reducing the wage bill. They have to - we cannot remain fan-owned and be a L1 club. The stuff from Exeter confirms this too. I guess the hope is that by some miracle we stay up with the loans but there will more cost cutting in the summer when contracts run out. What we are doing is selling anyone we get offers for and bringing in cheaper options. We will do that again in the summer. And then hope to stay in L2 for a number of seasons.

Unless we sell out we have to do this cost-cutting. I do hope the DTB will give us a vote to sell out soon and be honest about the circumstances. For reference I advocate selling out as I believe we have to keep cost cutting as a fan-owned club.
