Right side of defence very, very weak for their first two goals. However, a great fight back. At least the goals are flowing again for us. Let's hope they do not dry up too soon.

Therin lies the problem with Goodman. He thrives on having a good coach and a good defence in front of him. If he doesn't have either, he's fucked. I can't see him making it in the Prem because he won't have Bayzo there to guide him.

OI - VAR, amongst other issues, contribute to stopping the natural flow of the game. I too was surprised at some referee decisions in the Villa/Newcastle game, but at least there were no major delays caused by so called technical improvements. I personally felt the ref was biased in favour of Villa, in the first half anyways.

Maybe the footy god decided to step in.
Yes. Shame he won't get to play at Plough Lane so our supporters that don't venture too far from SW17 can see us score a few goals. He let 5 in when Colchester visited us the season before he joined us. The net behind him seems to be a magnet for the ball when he plays us.

That Huddersfield game was another mad game. We have a good record this season in Yorkshire and when we wear that green kit. I think only Bradford beat us up here, with draws against Rotherham, Huddersfield and Barnsley, plus winning at Doncaster.
The officials in that Villa game were dreadful, lucky Newcastle won in the end. Is it a positive for VAR in that they would have been corrected or a negative in that top officials are now scared to make decisions because VAR is available.

Have we put 6 goals past Owen Goodman this season?

Shame not to win that but can’t begrudge the draw given the opening 15 mins. Would have taken a point before kick off and glad we created the chances to be able to score 3 goals. Soft soft goals to concede but I guess they’ll be saying the same from their end. Wasn’t obvious that there were home fans there tbh.

One DTB member left the script Michael Fish style earlier on on Twitter I expect they’ll be being reprogrammed as we speak. The usual haughty nonsense followed by misdirection then silence when asked a direct question with evidence to back it up.
I agree, euphoria can bite you on the ass pretty quickly. Keeping focused and trying to keep them from scoring is a good trait to develop.

I actually like a lack of goal celebration, Surbs. Time to celebrate is at the final whistle. Over-celebrating can be a distraction for the players.

Great to get a draw today and also an entertaining match as well. Team and formation seems to allow for more attacking play but bit more vulnerable to the break. Anyone else bit perplexed by the lack of celebrations by our players? Coming from 2 down to be 3 up is massive yet some of our players looked like we had scored a consolation goal after being 5 down.

Exiled - good point about Reeves. Shame, as he's been brilliant for us, but I think his time has come. Maybe a few cameos left before the end of the season. Good call by JJ to bench him though - fair play.

Tilley looks a very good signing.
It’s hard to be harsh on the team today after such a brilliant comeback. A few short weeks ago we wouldn’t have been capable of coming back like we did because we were playing so badly and we were not scoring goals. 7 points from 9 is a great upturn in form and shows we are able to pick up the points we need. To be honest I do t expect us to get anything at Cardiff on Tuesday in what is a free hit. But it’s good to see us being competitive again and now 7 points clear of the bottom four. What a difference dropping Reeves has made.

Humbled by Hampton, frustrated at Folkestone, beaten by Billericay and chastened at Chelmsford, the Dons' first Ryman Premier League campaign was no cakewalk. A late run saw Dave Anderson's side sneak into the play-offs where the expensively assembled Fisher side proved too strong and, a few days later, Kingstonian rubbed salt into the wound by winning the Surrey Senior Cup final. Relive every kick with the memories of men like Wayne Finnie and Antony Howard in the latest edition of the Historical Don.

On sale for £2 from outside the club shop at the Bradford, Northampton and Blackpool matches.
Congratulations to Mansfield. Burnley went out of the FA Cup against opposition from a lower league 50 years ago too.

I called it. Barnsley score 2 or more goals per home game but don’t necessarily win those games.

I feel like they must feel I feel like I feel like they dropped two points today and those points were there for the taking.
Good turnaround in form just as some were losing faith

What Hash said. Rip your arm off for a point at 2-0 down but sack the board to drop a point from 2-3:

Proper football.
7 points from the 3 most recent games is good - might get nothing from the next 2 games, although Bradford have lost 5 (?) games since the start of January… 😯

Alright. Still love Omar and Marcus and would have taken a point at the start of the game and bitten your hand off for a point at 2-0 down so that's all good. Good point all things considered. 7 points clear of the drop. 12 more points should be enough.
