I think the Ramadan thing is to ensure that players don’t dehydrate during matches, as that can be quite dangerous - I’m not really sure why on earth anyone would prefer to see players potentially collapsing on the pitch from dehydration, but I guess if someone is sufficiently obsessed, they’ll always manage to find a bee in their bonnet somehow…. 🙄

That seemed a bit weird as he supposedly died at 3 in the afternoon Jerusalem time so it probably would have been noon in the UK. I guess it made the more religious people happy to delay it.
