Depends which city. Certainly some were pink but I think at least one was green

Main target for next season must be striker that can kick ball on target

Just talking to a spurs fan from the midlands and a Chelsea fan from the island in sandown, that news paper up north that came out straight after games ,what was it's name pink?red?

Remember buying it in 80s at northern matches
Red Kite - possibly

Also think Seddon is not as good at left centre back
Mark, wasn't there a change in strategy at that time with JJ opting for a more attacking formation?

Stockport had Louie Barry, one of their better players, sent off today, so presumably will miss the game at our place as they have no league game next weekend as they are at Wembley in the EFL Trophy final

I know I’ve said this before but when we signed Bauer in the summer, JJ highlighted that we were short of centre backs ( as we play 3, you’ve gotta agree with that sentiment)….So what changed this in January window?

Harbottle wages freed up Tilley wages so I’m told

That great strategy included the bloke on loan from Switzerland I hear…. That worked out well…. Maybe just maybe there was a way to have BOTH Tilley and Hardbottle

if we hadn't let Orsi and Harbottle go, we possibly couldn't have afforded to sign Tilley. Looks bad now but he hadn't exactly figured much in the season up till then.

Mark we let Harbottle go to raise funds to get Tilley. If we hadn’t done that we almost certainly wouldn’t be anywhere near 50 points right now. It was JT coming in that kick started that recovery period. His play made a big difference. So much as I liked RH. With that choice I’m 100% with Jackson and Cope.

CW - disagree with the retrospect comment. Loads saying it back then when he was released. What was most worrying today, was the first time it seemed we almost threw in the towel - not seen that before

This is why we used to have reserve teams, playing regularly in a stiff's league'

yeah, I know...money.
Harbottle wasn't exactly the Messiah, ok he scored a good goal t Notts county but it’s only in retrospect that we need him now

I think Bugiel has a hamstring injury, so for him to be ready next Saturday is an optimistic wish I’d say… Lewis’ knee didn’t look like a good one, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he was missing too… Some fringe players need to step up in the remaining games and keep us up…

Pretty sure if you go off with a head injury, there's a six day wait before you can play again. He'd miss the game next Saturday if thats the case. The count i believe starts the day after the injury

From reading around most people seem to be accepting that this is a budget issue rather than an ability issue* but Hackford right now looks like he needs taking off the line. Good enough off the ball but whenever the ball reaches him his first touch is dreadful, rarely gets a second touch as a result, his passing his woeful and his shooting is akin to my golf swing when I’m hungover and don’t wanna be there. I do not envy JJ in this situation because I can’t say “I’d rather play x” because you’re into youth players.

*I’m talking about football-based ability eg coaching staff, recruitment and players - if the club and trust had put the missing £400k and the “why was that the best use of that money?” £100k for the floodlights upgrade into the playing budget that’s half a million quid and a chance to create a L1 squad that might survive this albeit anomalous injury list
I can’t really see us winning (or even scoring) in our last 5 games but if, as subfloor, we play for 0-0 I would think that we could get a point in at least 2 of the Burton, Wigan and Huddersfield games and you would think that 2 more points would be enough to stay ahead of Exeter

Looton are at Wembley next week, so once they got the 3pts, they weren't going to press hard

Don Simon - I wished I shared your optimism. I think they will get 4 - I said a couple of days ago that if they beat Doncaster, we are in big trouble. I stand by that. Plymouth away for them sounds like a guaranteed home win but it’s their derby. They will be 2000 fans or whatever. Like us at orient
