I’m surprised that Foyo didn’t get a longer ban in the first place when you consider that he was betting on winning games that he played in and also for them to lose in games that he didn’t. He even had a bet on the result of a game, during the 90 minutes but once he was substituted. He had apparently attended educational classes to make players aware of the rules and what was expected of them. The FA seem to be ok with the involvement of betting companies in football, so perhaps they should be doing more to help the players who are unable to stop themselves from partaking in the services that these companies offer.

It seems they have given up posting links to the PLC board meeting minutes anymore. Nothing since August. Given the financial Armageddon we are hurtling towards, it would be real peachy if the PLC had a meeting to discuss it and give us an inkling they have.
